This is sarcasm folks, just a little humor I wrote to break the FP+ ice.
Enjoy, lets not make this a FP+/- debate, just have some fun.
To the tune of Don McLean's "American Pie"
Not such a long time ago
We could ride all those attractions, many times, commando style.
And I knew if I had my chance, that I could make a mad dash, and...
Not be queued up for a while.
But January made me shiver, with no more paper to deliver.
Magic bands on forecast—I’d need to wear what?
I can’t remember if I sighed, when I read about this NextGen tide,
But something touched me deep inside, the day FastPass died.
So, bye bye my good FastPass times
Pullin’ tickets and returnin’ but why can’t we still ride?
Us good ol’ guests are askin’ Mickey why, singin’
This’ll be the day FastPass died
This’ll be the day FastPass died
Do you trust in the MDE and do you have faith in the network above,
if Bob Iger tells you so
Now do want to ride that RnR? Save me a spot on that parade row?
Not unless you booked it 60 days ago.
Well, I know you rode Space Mountain, because I saw you double dipp’in
You pulled both that and Pooh’s—man I got some Peter Pan’s too!
I was a ticket pulling, riding buck...with park hoppin’ and little luck.
but
I knew we were gettin stuck, the day FastPass died
I started singing, bye bye my good FastPass times
Pullin’ tickets and returnin’ but why can’t we still ride?
Us good ol’ guests are askin’ Mickey why, singin’
This’ll be the day FastPass died
This’ll be the day FastPass died
For years now we’ve been on our own, pulling tickets wherever we roamed,
but....
Thats not how its gonna be
When the board invested a billion in MDE, and wrote checks fit for an Evil
Queen,
For a changes bestowed on you and me
And while we were flying south, Disney shut our paper down
No passes were returned—Now you book your turn.
And while they tested going park by park, Mickey heads began to spark,
The return time lights they went dark, the day FastPass died.
I started singing , bye bye my good FastPass times
Pullin’ tickets and returnin’ but why can’t we still ride?
Us good ol’ guests are askin’ Mickey why, singin’
This’ll be the day FastPass died
This’ll be the day FastPass died
Overloaded systems in a summer swelter—The apps crashed one after the other,
This pinwheel is spinnin’ fast.
I showed up and tapped to pass
The green light wouldn’t blast, got pushed off the to the ride’s side with some cast.
Now I was late for my ADR, while the cast member seemed confused
We all just want to pass, but technology had to crash
‘Cause just as I had feared, this here ride was tiered,
Do you recall the look of sneers, the day FastPass died.
We started singing, bye bye my good FastPass times
Pullin’ tickets and returnin’ but why can’t we still ride?
Us good ol’ guests are askin’ Mickey why, singin’
This’ll be the day FastPass died
This’ll be the day FastPass died
And there we were, a broken look upon our face—Illuminations. or Mission Space? There’s no slots left for Soarin’ once again.
So come on, this is simple, spend your money quick—Who really needs to ride another trip? ‘Cause....
Merchandise is really the end.
And, as I watched the big wigs praise, on my wrist this band it weighed
No one in corporate hell, could make this thing work well.
And as the guests stumbled through this fight, handing over money left and right, I saw Mickey laughing with delight, the day FastPass died.
He was singing, bye bye my good FastPass times
Pullin’ tickets and returnin’ but why can’t we still ride?
Us good ol’ guests are askin’ Mickey why, singin’
This’ll be the day FastPass died
This’ll be the day FastPass died
I met a girl by the Jungle Cruise, waiting there on the standby queues,
She was standing there all day.
I went over by the Laugh Floor, where I’d pulled tickets there before, but...
the CM just offered me some trinkets for pay.
And in the Hub guests reside, to their smartphones they were tied, but
Not a word was spoken—this damn apps’ still broken!
And the attractions I rode the most, the three mountains and the haunted ghosts
Now I have to pick which one I love the most, the day FastPass died.
And they were singing, bye bye my good FastPass times
Pullin’ tickets and returnin’ but why can’t we still ride?
Us good ol’ guests are askin’ Mickey why, singin’
