Our friends returned this week from Universal. They reported about having The Mummy ride break down while they were in the room with flames shooting over their heads. The room kept shooting flames and it got hotter and hotter. They were pinned in the coaster with no way to get out. It took quite some time for the rescue team to come evacuate them.
Why doesn't Universal have a shut off button in these situations for the pyro?
The rescue team said that it was the most dangerous room on the ride to be stuck in.
I will ride on our next trip but I guarantee I will be holding my breath through that room!
EDIT: I CHECKED WITH MY FRIENDS AND THE FLAMES DID STOP WHEN THE RIDE DID. JUST REALLY REALLY HOT.
