Hi all.

I havent been on here much lately but we've now booked fo October and we are planning on buying Annual Passes when we're there, but i've heard that if you buy 14 day passes here in the Uk we can "upgrade" them to annual passes when we arrive.

Im possibly wanting to do this so that i can get "fast passing" before we go instead of waiting til we get there.

Is this still something that can be done and if you does anyone have any up to date info they can share.

I've been in touch with guest services but cant buy the annual passes from the uk apparently and dont want to fudge it by using a US address.

Thanks in advance . If anyone can help then i know the DiSers can

Hi! We are in the world at the mo-what we did was buy the best discount ticket we could find (we bought undercover tourist one- 5 day park hopper) then upgraded to an annual pass once we had used the ticket once-this way you 'bridge' the price and pocket the discount!! Saving money! I think if you buy the 14 day British ticket you don't get any discount...

As for fast passes- we booked the 5 days worth we could of those which we knew would 'sell out' like mine train and Anna and Elsa-the rest we sorted here when we upgraded to an AP- we haven't had a problem getting what we want and like I said-we've saved over $100 between the 3 of us (2 adults and 1 child!)

I hope that helps:)

You can buy an AP from the UK - you need to call the US or buy online through the US site.

However I would do what the previous poster did - buy a discounted MYW (buy the ticket with most discount whose gate price doesn't exceed the AP cost) and use once and upgrade. You can then upgrade at any ticket window as they bridge the price and do these upgrades regularly.

You can upgrade a 14 day ticket however it is luck of the draw as to how easy it will be. You will get different prices and it will take a lot of time regardless. It took us 3 times of asking and well over an hour to upgrade a couple of weeks ago. It is not something I would have done unless I had had to buy the tickets to qualify for free dining.

Do you mind me asking, how much did it cost you to upgrade from the 14 day ticket?

We got $501 towards the upgrade however for the length of time it took I am still not sure it is worth the savings :rolleyes1

Thanks everyone. I called Disney Guest Services and purchased the annual passes. Thye should be with us in 7 days...cant wait. :hourglass
