After reading some of these threads i am a little confused.. on the new harry potter ride there is no express line for onsite hotel guests. that was one of the main reasons for going this year. any info would be greatly appreciated..thanks....

Currently, there is no express line for anyone. There is a single rider line (ask for it, it's not obvious), but even that line can get long if the regular line is very long.

MiniLaura is correct...there is no Express line for Forbidden Journey at this time.

Hotel guests do get in one hour earlier than general public and that perk alone is worth it as opposed to not seeing it at all for some folks. The website for the hotels does not explicitly state that for now (dates on website ended 12/31) but i don't expect that this practice will change for a while. When we stayed onsite we were out of the area by 9 am and NEVER went back.

I don't envision Express for FJ until demand dies down a lot. A separate Express line obviously speeds the process for the Express guests, but actually slows down the line for everyone as a whole--like two lanes merging on a highway.

The reason a separate SR queue does not impact like Express would is because it is used to fill in the empty seats on ride vehicles, and therefore should move more people through in the same amount of time (in theory anyway).

I do not anticipate IOA ever putting an express pass on FJ. Hotel guests get to come in one hour before the park opens and generally most of those guests go straight to HP.

For now and for the foreseeable future I think that's going to be it!
