The test---What is the history/signifigance of this picture. I know that is vague. Live with it ! ! ! Just do your best.

I will post the exact location of this picture after the right guess. NO, you do not win a fully paid trip to Disney or a stay at our house, if your guess is correct. We will not be at home and the lights will also be OUT.

PS:There s/b a Capital D in ODonnell. That is why I have not been to Ireland. My Clan would stop drinking Stout if I showed up there with a lower case d.

WOW ! ! ! 41 lookers so far and nobody has nailed it.

Should I start giving clues ?????????????????????

john

:confused::confused::confused::confused:

63 lookers, not one guess.

:wizard:

Time for a clue-----This pic is on DIS property.

YIKES ! ! ! john

:goodvibes

keylime is pretty close.

;)

NonScents was very astute. Assuming Disney was right on the money.

:rolleyes1

Another clue. I am making this tooooooo easy.

If you lnow how to navigate into DIS COMMUNITY GALLERIES (pictures) under john59 there is a major clue there.

The answer is in this picture. I am pointing at the pic (etching). You have probably passed this section a zillion times at EPCOT.

Where did I get those shorts ??? I had to be on a diet. You could get 6 cases of beer in there with me.

Anybody else up on the granite blocks (I think they are granite). I am now looking for the coordinates so we can find the pic.

ok, for some reason, i was thinking there was a picture session BEFORE this round of pics on the granite

and yes, my DH and I are there and show our son, who doesn't believe it was taken before he was born, where it is on every trip

i thought you were making it much harder than that for some reason.....:headache:

My wife and I had ours done in 2004, I think. If you go to the little desk where they take the picture they can tell you the coordinates. I think we had to give them our name.

We have our picture on the monoliths also. We had them done in 2000 for our 10th anniversary!!

The picture he posted is actually the clear thing they sent you when you had the engraving done.

Wow, 4 posters that have their photos on the blocks. How much does it cost? Do they tell you how long the blocks will be there?

I honestly don't know if they are still selling them.

When we had it done, it was in the 30ish something range. I have the paperwork hidden somewhere, but I vaguely remember they were guaranteed to be on property somewhere for a minimum of 10 years.

But will it truly matter after December 21, 2012?

I have these "sci-fi" visions of Disney after mankind has disappeared! All the pictures on the tombstones, and all the paver bricks with names and dates on them at the MK. Eerie!

:scared1:

Yikes Debbie: I never thought about that. 12/21/2012

The way I understand you ; in a few thousand years a rodent with one leg, about 16.238 feet tall and a head where the tail should be, will come sauntering by, stop and look at my DW and me on the monolith, burp, grab a another beer out of his/her pouch, then go into Spaceship Earth for a nap with his Otter friends.

You are right. What an eerie scenario ! ! ! !

Your last question was asked in a thread on a different forum. It turned into a rather heated argument. ;)

I believe that we paid $25 for ours in 2004, although from what others have said, they no longer do them.

The general consensus was that they were guaranteed to be there for 20 years. Whether that is 20 years from date of purchase (what I believe I was told), or 20 years from when they first started Leave A Legacy is also up for debate.

Some have speculated that the monoliths will be moved to other (less obtrusive) areas, while some have popped in various threads with information from a "reliable" source that the monoliths are to be destroyed within the next 1 - 2 years.

We have ours on there too. Our son and daughter in law had their picture put on and decided to give a certificate for my parents to put their picture and for us too. Actually the year we had ours done our daughters cocker spaniel, who was on her first Disney visit, had to be euthanized while we were at The Fort, so she is on there also.

John-

Please forgive me if this question comes off as snarky.

Because that is really not my intent.

I am just curious.

So, my question:

Has your doctor recently changed your medications?

TCD

:cool1::wizard::thumbsup2

TCD: Snarky ???? I thought that was a to do fish that I haven't caught yet. I believe a fair to middlin snark would be a good catch on my Bucket List.

As for my MEDS---DW Shirley has some, I have some. They all come in the same type bottles. I just grab the first 6 to 8 and give the dice a roll.

Now Debbie has a point about 12/21/2012. It was a good point, but it has been about a day since she replied. I just can't remember it ! ! ! My long term memory is about 6 hours. Time for some more MEDS.
