A January Anniversary Trip...with my in-laws. (1/8-1/14) Updated 1/5

Ok, I'm here...at the end...lol. I think you replied to a TR or PTR I am reading so I just decided to jump in and read. Our trip is in June and we are in that horrible lull between ADR and FP day, and its winter, and cold here in GA...ugh...so I am always looking for PTRs and TRs to read! Anyway, I enjoyed the pre-trip plans. I don't remember too much that I wanted to comment on, but I truly am an overplanner too and I'm ok with that because it totally passes the time. I mean, even if our plans go by the wayside, I still enjoyed getting it all together.

I've been to Disney about 15 times but this past June was the first time since 2012, first time with FP+, and first time with both my boys (then 4 and 2). My Dh had to work so my mom and dad went. There wasn't a ton of drinking but this time will be with my DH and without my folks, so I am actually planning out my drinks because there are so many yummy ones I want to try. I actually saved that book you posted to a Disney list on Amazon so I will probably end up purchasing it soon.

Love that you are staying at BC and can walk to Epcot and DHS. I have BC or BW on my radar for our next next trip as we are skipping a year and we are hoping for both Toy Story Land and possibly Star Wars land by the time we head back in 2019. We are at WL this time to take advantage of the proximity and the boat to MK.

Oliver is so cute!

Looking forward to the TR when you get back..... :)

I wish I followed this sooner! I'm really excited to read your TR...we're going two weeks later and staying at CBR, and my PTR is pretty similar to yours in that (unless something changed in yours that I missed) we're going to the same parks in the same order! Hopefully that doesn't mean this is what everyone does who arrives on Sunday lol and MK will be insane, but here's hoping it's a low enough season (haha, like Disney has those anymore really) it won't matter!

Welcome!!! I know exactly how you feel..PTRs and TRs have helped me survive the past 5 months! It's super cold here, too. We are currently getting dumped on with snow, so the Florida sun should feel even better in a few days :rotfl2:

Honestly this will probably be our last chance to do all of the adult things that we love about Disney without little ones, so we are taking full advantage! I'll make sure to report back our favorites! The author of that book is also one of my favorite people to follow on twitter..his handle is @DrunkAtDisney..give him a follow!!

BC/YC is definitely our fav! And, if you can't tell from my PTR this far, my DH is a creature of habit. Once he finds somewhere that he loves he doesn't want to take the risk of trying somewhere else, which is good and bad. I really want to stay at WL, AKL, Poly and GF..we'll see if I can ever convince him to change..maybe if I suggest a split stay? Lol!

:welcome:..I'm going to have to go read yours as soon as I'm done posting this!! PTRs get me so pumped to be back in the world!! That is hilarious that our touring plans are so similar! I'm hoping for a low season too..everything I've read says it should be so fingers crossed :upsidedow

One day of work left and 2 days until Disney!

...and still so much left to do :sad2:

So we are currently under a Winter storm warning so none of my last-minute to-do list is getting done today..which included getting my nails done and I have no clue when I'll be able to squeeze it in before we leave  oh well! Guess I'll just have to do them myself and try to avoid flip-flops as much as possible :rotfl2:

I also really wanted to decorate my MagicBand with white polka dots but Target does not sell white paint markers and I've had no time to look at a craft store..so I guess we're just going with the look that I have now:

I got the bow from Etsy for like $4, so at least it's still kind of decorative. Annnnd it matches my new ears that finally came today!!!

We are basically packed, except for a few last minute electronics and hair/makeup/bath items which we will need to do tomorrow. Tonight is technically our last night at our house, so we are trying to finish up. Keyword here is "trying". Andrew is actually just binge watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Netflix and waiting for the pizza to be delivered while I obviously write this post :rotfl2: Procrastination packing is 100% our game. We work well under pressure.

Tomorrow night we are staying at my mom's house. 1.) so Oliver can settle in while we are still there (oh yes we are THAT crazy about our pup) and 2.) so we can leave my car there for my Dad to take it for an oil change/new tires while we're gone (yeah..I'm also that kind of person..) Then Andrew has to work for a few hours on Saturday morning, and after that we'll head in to Pittsburgh for our overnight stay before our Sunday flight.

I also finalized our plans today on my spreadsheets. I printed and laminated copies of them for our room and for my MIL/BILs room. By doing this I have tricked/forced myself to stop making changes. Right before I printed/laminated I did make one more change..

STAR WARS DESSERT PARTY!!!

WOOHOO!! I was really toying with the idea of doing Club Villain on Friday instead of Coral Reef but Andrew really wanted me to stop making changes (LOL!). It was also super pricy for 4 people to do..especially because I would be the one paying for all 4 of us to do it o_O So I decided to move up our 50s Prime Time reservation and then book the SWDP after that on Thursday. I just really wanted to add one more special event, and it'll be a total surprise for everyone else. I'm really excited to see their reactions.

And with that FINAL change: TA-DA:

One is more detailed and one is more of a daily overview. Both completely obsessive and perfectly normal for all of us in the DIS (not so much my friends in the real world)

And this lovely comparison to get me through the final stresses of packing (and overpacking/repacking):

Okay, so our arrival day is a little chilly for Florida standards but it is PERFECT for PA/WV January standards.

I also watch certain vlogs but I usually do that when walking on the treadmill and oops, I haven't done that lately. We are supposed to get snow tomorrow night and that is a rare occurrence around here. It completely shuts us down!

I completely understand. I never got to go with DH before kids so I'm hoping for an eventual couples only trip once the boys are a little older. @DrunkAtDisney now followed!

Yep, may have to go the split stay route! :)

I was just looking at the weather and saying to my husband I wish we were going this week as it looks perfect!! Here's hoping my trip week is just as nice. We went first week of Feb last year and it was drizzly and in the 50s for several of the days...it did hit the 70s at one point but mostly it was a bit chilly. We don't like the heat too much, and it was better than snow at home, but I am praying for high 60s-low 70s in two weeks. You are SO CLOSE!
