A Jan 2009 TR... twins, one parent and 103 degree fevers! **UD 11-28 w/ pics**

Wow! I have no idea how I missed SO many updates.....:sad2: But...now I'm all caught up!

You can tell poor little Sophia is still fighting something in those Mexico pics. What a little trooper!

Yay for riding ToT! My 8 year old rode it this past April and loved it! It's one of our favorites.

Cute pics meeting the Toy Story gang!

Sorry you got whatever Sophia was getting over..isn't that the way it always works! Can't wait to hear more!

:cool1: YAY for an update! Sorry you were so sick! Poor Cheryl! As others have said, you did look pretty no matter how sick you were. You have beautiful hair! Are your curls natural? :flower3: Can't wait to hear more! How is the planning coming for the next trip? :)

The first time I went on a Disney trip, my sons got sick. The eldest had to be drugged with tylenol and gravol to get on the plane. He was better by the next day. the day after that the middle son threw up in front of the bus, so everyone went on ahead without us. On the last day my yougest son was sick on Main street as we were leaving, but far from looking horrified, people offered us wipes and water and sympathy. :cloud9:
Can't wait to read more.

At least kids bounce back quickly!!

Joining in...I will be traveling to DW in January with DD 9 and DS 7. I am interested in hearing about how the rest of the trip went. :)

Hello! When are you going in January? We can't wait to go back!!

Oh no!! SO sorry you got sick! I hope you get better fast!!

Thanks, Becky!

I think you looked pretty in your pic, despite being so sick :)

SO sorry that happened to you!! Must have been so hard considering everyone was depending on you to navigate. Hope it gets better...but looking at your next title doesn't leave me very hopeful!! And I know what you mean about AK...it seems so stuffy and hot there!! SO impressed your DD rode EE!! My hubby is trying to talk me into letting my 6 year old ride :scared1:

Also, this weather is confusing me!!!?? Now it is hot :confused3 I guess I should not be confused b/c our weather is the exact same way, but it makes planning very difficult. My solution is to get the kid's short sleeve shirts made that we can also put a long sleeve under if it is cold. That way, on the warm days we can wear the short sleeved t's by themselves and the cold days with t's under them (and our fleeces). Does this sound do-able to you?:goodvibes

Aw, thanks! I found EE to be much more tame than ToT, and Hannah thought it was less scary than SM!

I swear, we had a 45 degree temperature swing while we were there. I like the idea of the t-shirts over long sleeve shirts so they can show off their Disney tees. You may notice the obvious LACK of disney wear on my girls. We'll probably get some stuff for this trip!

:rotfl2: Sounds like something I would do to my kids, too!

This is a really good picture!

:scared1: I think we all know where this is headed!

I blame the flu! Not the Sangria!

I hate ToT. Makes me want to yak! If Hannah changes her mind she can ride alone

Thanks! That is my natural hair, which varies from curly to wavy to frizzy depending on the weather, or straight if I put a lot of time and work into it. It's super super thick, so blowing it out at that length takes forever.

Planning has been on hold for the past week or so, as have most things, as I have been battling a chest cold and working my second job a lot more often.

Happy Thanksgiving Cheryl!!! I hope all is well!! I haven't heard from you in awhile!!

:goodvibes Hope you Ladies are all well! :) Hope you have battled back that Chest cold and work is going well! Let us know what you are up to! :goodvibes

OK, I just caught up on your report. BOO to sickness! How exciting that you get to stay at Poly in January!

Thank you!

Sorry for the long hiatus. This time of year is, of course, crazy. Work is work, but there are too many social engagements! It doesn't help that half of my family, my Dbf and my best friend all have Nov or Dec birthdays. Or that the girls are dancing three times a week in preparation for the upcoming Nutcracker.

I'm going to work on an update this morning...before we have to get ready for Aunt Elsie's 90th birthday surprise party. Really, who throws a surprise party for a 90-year-old?

Let's see, where was I? Sorry it's been so long. I hate it when life gets in the way of what I would rather be doing.

We just left AK and were heading back to WL pool. I let my mom take the girls to the pool while I chilled in the room and took more Advil, and another hit of Hannah's antibiotics. The fever was coming and going with the Advil, and I had a killer headache. But we had 7:30 (I think? It was the middle show) Hoop-Dee-Doo reservations, and I was not going to miss it! I think that was my mantra for this part of the trip :)

After their swim we all got cleaned up and took the boat over to Fort Wilderness and Pioneer Hall. We had our picture taken outside (it was not good and we did not buy it) and then waited and waited and waited for them to ring the bell so we could all go in. We were seated at pretty much the last table on the floor, farthest away from the stage, but right in the center. I'm pretty sure there are no bad seats for this show, because we could see everything just fine from where we were.

Now, I think this is a real testament to the food at HDDMR, because even though I was sick, everything was WONDERFUL. Especially the mashed potatoes, which are my favorite comfort food when sick. I had no idea what to expect when I booked this show (there are a lot of mixed reviews out there), but it was great. And the show is itself hilarious. All 5 of us really enjoyed it.

And then there was the sangria, which flows as freely as they promise. Though I don't think I had more than 2 (or 3) glasses.

At the end of the show they pass out the washboards...

(Please note a couple things about this picture. One: Hannah still hasn't washed her face paint off from yesterday. Yum. Two: Sophia is wearing a Tinkerbell shirt. I have to say that this is the ONLY article of Dsiney clothing the girls had in their wardrobe at the time of this trip, but I've never been big on licensed character clothing. I did take advantage of the $5 t-shirt sale at Disney Store yesterday for our upcoming trip).

After we took the boat back to WL and turned in. The girls went to sleep pretty quickly, but around midnight I started feeling... not so good. Two to three glasses of sangria is not really enough to do me in, so I swear I had the flu, and spent the next several hours in the bathroom with my head in the toilet

And the worst part about it? When I woke up the next morning, after finally catching a couple hours of sleep, I still had a d*&% fever!!

Up next, our last full day at MK. And I promise, because I did start feeling better this day there are more pictures!

What a horrible night for you! I'm glad you were able to enjoy the show, though. It looks really fun!

Oh no!! I can't believe you threw up all night and STILL had a fever! I hope it went away soon after. Glad to hear you enjoyed the show though!!
