We just got back from our first trip to Orlando and we had a great time. WWOHP was very enjoyable thanks to the tips and advice I got from this board. I can't thank you all enough!
We are a family of 5 with kids 10, 6, and 5. We were at US for 2 days.
Our first day we were at the gates about 1/2 hour before opening them headed straight to Ollivanders, of couse the kids wanted to look at everything but it wasn't long before we were at FJ with under a 20 minute wait. The castle queue was so amazing I wouldn't have minded a slightly longer wait. The ride itself scared the crap out of me. I spent most of it with both hands over my eyes and my legs squeezed as close to my body as possible. DS had no sympathy for me
Both him and my DH loved the ride. We loved the frozen butterbeer, bought wands and loved checking out all the windows displays.
I was really impressed with US/IOA as a whole. Their child swap areas are great, we got to stay as a family right until just before boarding. At WDW we usually sit around not really knowing how long our wait will be.
We originally we worried about the 2 younger kids having nothing to do but they had a blast and there was still a lot we didn't get to see. If the weather had been warmer there were a lot of places they would have liked to play and cool of.
My kids love Bubba Gump so that was our dinner the first night, the margaritaville the next and both were good. At the studios we went to Louie's with was very good as well.
We can't wait to come back!
