A Hop, NO Skip, and Many Mishaps to a Disney Dream!

We entered the Atrium on the 3rd level and decided to just stand against the railing there. Claire kind of complained that she wouldn’t be able to see the stage, but I had a feeling that many of the characters were going to be on the 2nd level, and I was right!

Of course while you wait for the show to start, you take some random shots!

This carpet was on the 2nd tier balcony. This is where I figured part of the show would be as they had it roped off.

And trying for some artsy shot of the chandelier, but again, I am slightly crooked.

More details around the stairs and balconies.

I spotted Kelly and Lily in the crowd on the main floor and took a couple of shots of them as well. I won’t post those here though.

Soon the show started. I did take some video of it as well…and we all know that that card is sadly lost in Wonderland somewhere.

A CM had gone around and handed out shaker sticks with little Pom Poms on the end. We got blue.

The party was fun, though I suspect it was either altered and/or shortened.
They had a countdown during the song and then the ships horn plays. I believe it played “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes”. It was so exciting to hear the horn.
We had a good time.
We then made our way back to our room to get changed. One tip I give you. The elevators are always jammed packed after any kind of party. So if you are going down, take the stairs! That’s what we did anytime we had to go down a couple decks…..going up is a little harder on the body though.

Hi Kathy!!

Kathy and I "met" on the Pop Picture thread! She takes great pics!:worship:

HI! Nice to hear from you again and thank you, don't you just love Jen's trs? and Jen are we going to get some more Pop pictures from you? I'll have more to put up in June.

Jen I could look at your ship pictures all day they are beautiful!

How did Claire make out with the Tooth Fairy? River still has both of his front teeth but he has pushed on the back of one of them so hard with his tongue that it is sticking straight out. Ugh! It looks horrible!

I think that Donald Statue looks like its made of CHOCOLATE!!! Coincidence?:confused3 I think not!:lmao:

On our Alaska cruise on RCL we were on deck 3, so we almost always ran up and down the stairs. Of course, this is from the lady who once lived (when I was a teen) on the 18th floor of a condo building in Ocean City, and run up and down.. and I once raced a friend up the Statue of Liberty... but again... as a teen.. however, I take the stairs whenever possible, especially on vacation because it might be the only exercise I get!:rotfl:

Kathy, you and Jen both take great pics! I haven't booked my August trip yet. I finally got word from my son that he is NOT expecting us to accompany them back to Florida, so we can go whenever we like. So I just need to get DH to sit down and pick a date that will work for him. He just hired a new person, so I'm hoping that means he can actually TAKE vacation now. The current plan is to book OKW or SSR (first choice), but if nothing is available in a studio, we'll likely book Pop to save $$, although, I'd really  to try some place different.

That dang tooth fairy just keeps coming! Claire has a total of 4 teeth lost now. the 2 bottoms are finally growing in though. But she has nothing on top.

Your photos of the Dream are just beautiful!
I definitely want to book a cruise. :goodvibes

Thanks. I want to book another!

The party looked like fun to watch, it is sad that, thats the card you lost. Claire must have been having fun with Pluto, she looks very happy!

How fun, how cute all the characters look in their sea gear. So excited to see what else you did on your first day/night

you inspired me and I convinced my Dh today for a 2014 cruise for our 10th anniversary, boys will be 6 and 9, still a long way to wait, but at least he set an actual date :goodvibes

Jen - did you book your cruise yourself on the website or go through a travel agent? I noticed on my AAA website that they are offering a $100 shipboard credit if you book your Disney cruise through them; just wondering if it matters which way you do it ..

LOVING the photos of the characters in their nautical costumes! :cool1: Not to mention the light fixtures................. I could probably spend a week on that ship just soaking in all the beautiful details!

I did book it online. Double check the price of the cruise with other places too before booking. Some who offer more onboard credit actually hike the price up a bit to cover that credit.

I know. I want to go and just take pictures. There was just not enough time to do it all.

It was fun. I am bummed about that card. I wish it would just turn up somewhere.

I have been playing with photoshop today.
I beleive I posted the full size picture in my dining reprot. I just hate most pictures of me because I have these awful wrinkles under my eyes. I learned a way to tame them down a bit...of course I have ordered the prints already of these dang pictures...but I know for the future now. So here is the before (i just cropped my face out.) Which actually this wasn't one of the worst wrinkle pictures, but I just played wit ha few of them and this one I happened to load.

Ok, so I know I should be working on updates, but I just read about this and had to play! LOL! Thanks for sharing my geekiness!

Awesome job Jen!

Mind if I send you every single one of my photos from the trip so you can touch mine up too??????? :lmao:

I have no idea how I got so far behind on your TR...I haven't been udpating mine and I'm caught up on everyone else's. :confused3:confused3

In any event, here we go.

The Easter Bunny sure was good to you. Somehow he missed my house. :rotfl:

The room pictures on the ship are great. Love all the little detail in the bathroom shots.

And the bathroom you and Claire went to find after you were dosing at the shopping lecture is spectacular!

I love the pics of Claire with Pluto (I've always had a soft spot for Pluto).

Can I ask what might be a dumb question, but then we've never done a cruise. What is with the thing you hung on your door and the gift bags? Is this something that is normally done on a cruise???

P.S. Welcome to Tim's Peeps fan club. Just gotta love good old Tim. :goodvibes
