A honeymmon near disaster

This happended back in 1981. We went to WDW for our Honeymoon. For you youngsters out there, this was when the only park was MK, and the only water park was River Country.

Anyhow, we were spending the day in River Country, when my wife looked down and saw she was missing her diamond ring. Boy, did the tears start then.

We reported the missing ring. Several lifeguards came out with snorkel equipment and searched the sand bottom of the swimming hole. About 1/2 hour later, the ring was found.

Of course, on leaving the swimming hole, my wife cut her big toe an a rock, had to get first aid, and limped the rest of the day.

Ah, memories!

We went on our honeymoon at Disney in 1982. I can remember thinking that River Country was the funniest place! Of course, it is fun, but not as fun as Typhoon! Glad you found the ring...so a reminder it's 20 years this year? Are we getting a new ring?

I was there in September of 1981 for my honeymoon!!! Been back 8 times (without ex-husband, but with kids!) Going back this summer with 16 y/o daughter, 18 y/o son and 18 y/o foster son!!!
