Happy Boxing Day friends!
We have to check out of the Vistana by 10 am this morning

, then will be enjoying one last day of fun before heading to the airport for our 8:05 pm flight back to Buffalo. Fun Spot is on the agenda, as well as some last-minute shopping. I am glad we are going to be busy, as the "going home" days can be emotional at the best of times, and "busy" tends to be a good cure for the blues.
The weather has been
incredible this week. Yesterday was like the middle of our Canadian summer. With the exception of our arrival day (which warranted jeans and t-shirts) the rest of the time has been hot, hot, hot (and even humid for the most part). We haven't needed so much as a sweater in the evenings (just the opposite....the nights brought no drop in temps on some days, not even a little "relief" from the humidity) and the only rain we've had was a 10 minute sun-shower yesterday at SeaWorld, just barely enough to dampen the walkway before the sun dried it up. Mother Nature couldn't have been kinder to us this week.
SeaWorld yesterday was simply magical. Crowds were non-existent until mid-afternoon, then even when the amount of bodies in the park picked up, we didn't find it awful at all (just busier than the morning). The park was gorgeously decorated, staff were fabulous, the Christmas shows were out of this world, and we stayed a full 12 hours from open until close. It really was a perfect Christmas Day.
I have had the awesome opportunity to say hello to a few Disers along the way. Steve met a fellow Canadian Diser at the Days Hotel in Buffalo last Friday night, another Diser said hello to me on the way to Shamu Stadium yesterday evening (though in the crowds, I didn't have a chance to catch her name!), and I had a very memorable meeting with another Diser at SW yesterday afternoon (you know who you are.....and you helped make our Christmas Day very special indeed!). Another Canuck from the boards is on our plane this evening, so there will be a much-anticipated Dismeet at the airport tonight as well. Very cool to have the chance to meet some internet friends face-to-face.
We will spend the night tonight in Niagara Falls before returning home tomorrow. We are stopping in Toronto to have lunch with extended family before returning home, as Jake has a Christmas party with his Sunshine's extended family later that night.
Thanks to those who have followed along, checked in, posted, and kept me company as we waited for this trip. Sad to see it ending, but I guess the smiles return as a new countdown commences. 119 days from today, the adventures begin again
