As a surprise to DH I booked to Vegas leaving Sept 6 we were there about 5 years ago and we've been talking about going back "someday".
He was surprised the nite I gave it to him. and he was very surprised!!!
He was with me when I paid the deposit he wanted to take the insurance "just in case" in most the insurance is good but with DH its just a copout if he gets the whim he doesnt want to go he knows we'll get the money back.
A few months ago I noticed that he didnt seem as excited to go--if I would bring up the trip he would barely talk about it I knew this was a sign of trouble and yet when I planned the trip he said for my b-day we could go see Bary Manilow!!!
So my birthday came and he got me a kitten (shes just adorable) My b-day is the end of July.
About 2 weeks latter he said how lucky I was since I got a kitten and going to see Barry Manilow I thought this was a good sign. about a week later he got quite again about the trip. not a good sign
on 9-22 I went to pick up our travel papers. I told him I only got them since I didnt want them sitting at AAA for 2 weeks and we would need them to cancel.
At this point I knew the trip was off!!
For the next 3 days I hardly talked to him. Finally on Fri when he asked what was wrong I told him and I was pretty upset and on top of everything else I already had my vacation okd and I wasnt going to look like a fool and ask if I could pick up some hrs so not to waste my vacation time.
He did feel guilty about the concert. The kitten would more then enough for my b-day its just the fact he said we go to the show.
so now we'll see what happens..
I hate playing wait and see.
How this all got started was lat year we went to WDW for our 25 anniversry and since he would either sleep or because of this or that didnt go on some of the attractions I went by myself--but there was one day we were at Epcot and he wanted to go back to the room--he said I could stay at the park if I wanted to I said there were still a few things I wanted to see and I would be back later---well after a few minutes he said why dont we both go back have some lunch and then we can come back--I dont know why I went back he fell asleep and I went swimming by myself which I did all but one day
we did go back much later so this was not the kind of anniversary I was planning on
I dont know why I keep thinking of traveling I know what happens---I guess I keep thinking this trip will be different.
