A Happy Dog's Summer of Sea and Shore - *cough, cough, nudge nudge* 7/11

Well I'm late to another party!! Not that it should shock anyone anymore!!

Love your cruise plans!!! Loved the flip flops and cover up!! VERY VERY NICE!!!!!

You and DH are going to have a great time!!!!

OOOH Thanksgiving week sounds like a blast!! I wish we got the whole week off, but a last we only get a few days!!!

Your boys are too cute!!!!

Seven Day cruise sounds like the perfect Thanksgiving to me. This cold weather is just too much, I am sick of it already and figure another month to go!

Love the coverup, very cute. Nassau did nothing for me either, I would stay on the boat too!

Good luck with the to do list... vacation is right around the corner!

Oh what exciting news! Thanksgiving will be a great time to cruise!

I know what you mean about the dining rotations and Palo reservations being confusing - definitely a juggling act. I agree, you could easily skip Animator's Palette in favor of a second Palo and then experience it with the kids next time.

BTW, love the sparkly flip flops and cover up!:goodvibes

I love your new cover up and flip flops. So pretty!

Orlando for Thanksgiving sounds like fun. Can't wait to see if you decide on the cruise. Or will Disney pull you back into the parks? :rolleyes1

Your boys are too cute! Weapons bin :rotfl: Doesn't every little boy have one?

Hope you are having a flour flinging fun Sunday

Love the cover up and sparkly flip flops:thumbsup2 Adorable!!

Are you going to check out the Enchanted Garden dining room? That is one that I want to see ;)

Your boys crack me up!!! My oh my...those goggles!!! :rotfl2:

Tracy

Wow - Lots of fun plans on the horizon! I think it's great that you already bought plane tickets. Now there's no turning back. I never feel like a trip is definite until I have those tickets. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about the FE. :confused3

Those pics of the boys cracked me up and looked sooo familiar! It's a good thing Ben didn't have any bling or eyewear at Christmas (only a gun purchased at POTC dump shop) or Anita and Marc may have stopped walking around with us!

I am so excited to hear all about FE and all your cruise plans. We are booked on the Dream but not until April 2012. It's crazy to be so excited for something so far away but I am!!

After how cold we were in Disney at Christmas, I don't blame you one bit for taking the cruise at Thanksgiving. That way you know you will get warm weather and still Disney-fied.:goodvibes

I am right there with you. I have 900 envelopes to put in the mail on Monday. 170 will have smiles, 80 will have hopeful faces, and the rest.... :sad2: I honestly hate this part of my job.

You have that many applicants??? Wow!

Uh, YEAH, update expected!! :rotfl:

I am baking today. Let the flour fly!

Whatcha baking? I made oatmeal cranberry cookies to keep our strength up during soccer. ;)

I just barely squeaked in my update before the deadline expired. I knew I had to since I was the one who struck the deal in the first place. LOL!

well I'm a day late and a dollar short as usual but the side benefit to my tardiness is I got a twofer...an intro and a real update!

I LOVE the idea of a Thanksgiving cruise. Or anywhere warm at Thanksgiving. I'm ready for a year off to be honest, this years holiday entertaining sucked the life out of me a bit. It will be so very very interesting to me to see if the bug bites my crew this summer and we book another one while on the Wonder in Alaska. Which will NOT be warm. :rotfl:

2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love that cute pink cover-up, with matching flips. You'll look great! Your boys are adorable. My oldest son is always running around, ready for some sort of battle. ;) Boys!

Hi all! I have not had time for replies yet, I will get to them this week, I promise, but I had to say I have 10 days and counting, and by tomorrow it will be single digits until we leave!!!! :yay: It is to the bone cold today, and for the rest of the week they say, with no winter weather to make it worthwhile!!! :rotfl: Just cold and more cold! I am ready more than ready for sun ...:goodvibes

Can't wait to touch down in MCO.... I can taste my Cali Grill sushi already... or maybe it will be the polenta and pork loin this time... decisions, decisions!!!! :scratchin

More coming up later in the week!!! :thumbsup2

Crazy busy week for me, too. Not even allowing myself to think trip thoughts, because I will get too off track. So little time on the DIS this week, but if we get a snow day tomorrow, I will designate half the day to work stuff and half the day to play! That means I can catch up. :yay:

Cold here, too. Mr. Marc and Miss Anita Wigd, givers of many gifts, seem to be giving us the gift of snow and cold from their state. My weatherman said as much this morning. Showed all those snow clouds over Kansas right on the map and said it was coming straight for us.

I usually like their gifts, but I'm not sure about this one... :upsidedow

Can't wait to touch down in MCO....

I'm with you on that one! :dance3:

I do believe it is getting very, very, very close to your cruise, HD!

Have you been dreaming of a hammock on Castaway Cay?

Or perhaps a Konk Cooler?

:goodvibes

Your trip is so close! :yay:
You must be so excited. In less than a week, you'll have a cocktail in your hand, relaxing on the Dream.:cloud9:

Less than a week!! Oh you guys must be so excited!!! I so can't wait to hear about your trip on the Dream!! I've been lurking all over the Cruise reports lately!!!!

How exciting that your cruise is right around the corner. Your Thanksgiving cruise sounds like a blast. So much to look forward to.

Cute picture of the boys. I remember that age and there are many times that I wish my boys were still that age. ;) The teenage years are definitely not as fun.

Cute pick flip flops!

Hi all! VERY VERY busy at work this week!!! :faint:

But, I wanted to start this week with an update, and I should be able to do so again this week... :thumbsup2

So in one week, I will be sitting in the Disney Cruise Line terminal, WAITING to board THE DREAM!!!! :sail:

Okay. I am a little excited...

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Last night we would have been spending the evening enjoying California Grill and fireworks from the Top of The World Lounge… :cloud9:

After the week at work I had last week, and a few of the days this coming week which are going to be CRAZY, :scared: I am really looking forward to Friday.

:woohoo:My fun begins Friday!!!! Four day week… WOOT WOOT!:woohoo:

So back in my last update I brought up a “Fish Extender”.

A fish extender is basically like a Christmas stocking for a secret santa exchange, where cruisers sign up (on the DIS) to participate in an FE with fellow cruisers, and each participant gives a little something to all the other cruisers participating… and you need something to put the goodies in, hence this hanging set of pockets which are hung from the room # signs, which are fish, that are outside every door. You can read all about it on the cruise thread. IT seems fun, I have read a lot, and my kids will have fun doing the deliveries... SO, I am currently trying to design a FE with an Etsy crafter. Here are some photos she has posted on Etsy, she has lots more on Facebook, but this is StitchesNBows… She has been very nice and we have exchanged a few message to clarify what I can do, but here is what a Fish Extender LOOKS like…

She tells me that I can pick the fabrics and I can pick the colors and the appliqué so now I need your help to help me decide!!! ;)

I want to put EITHER a Mickey head with the ship’s wheel at the top with “The Boswell Family” and “Yo Ho, Yo Ho…” underneath the appliqué OR exchange the Mickey head ship’s wheel design for the traditional DCL logo… I am thinking my color scheme will be black and white polka dot pocket fabric with black trim, and red background fabric… or red and white polka dot pocket fabric with black trim and black background fabric…
She can put the large rickrack on the trim, in yellow or white – I like the yellow rickrack trim she uses… The thread color for the words will be either white or black based on the back ground color, and the logo again, I was thinking red white and blue would be fine on the black, but not sure on the red…the appliqué for my DH would be a “pirate” Mickey head, for me, the Minnie with polka dot bow “red” and for the boys, each sailor hats… or each pirate bandana heads, one blue and one red… if the polka dot fabric is black… We’ll be “Dad” and “Mom” with the boys being their names… She puts ribbon at the top on the hanger, so I am going to ask for red, yellow, and white.

What do you think? There are several people who make FE’s.. they all seem great! And come with good recommendations… thoughts? :scratchin

As many of you know, I can sew. HOWEVER, I cannot make appliques or embroidery so I wanted something special. I AM sewing other things... but more on that next time :rolleyes1

ON the trip front, suitcases are upstairs!!! :yay: I went to the mall last night for a few odds and ends, and have a target run to make one last time to confirm I have all my toiletries, enough sun screen, etc. :drive: Then I have to prepare all the stuff for the boys for the three days -- thankfully Monday is a holiday so their grandmother only has to get them to school three days. This means piles of clothes for each day, food for snacks and lunch that can be pre-packed in baggies that just have to be assembled with sandwiches in the morning. All the notes and directions that are required when leaving the kids... reminder that homework MUST be done, etc!

I am getting super excited. But I have one last big event at work this week, Monday night, Wed and Thursday day openhouses, but once that is over, I will be more than ready to relax on our trip!!!! :cloud9:

More to come!
