A Happy Dog's Summer of Sea and Shore - *cough, cough, nudge nudge* 7/11

Your FE bag looks fabulous!!!! I love it, what a great job done with that!!

The bags for the boys are super cute too!!!!

I have to agree with you as I was at a friend's for dinner last night it dawned on me I was going to have to go to work this morning UGHHH...I know its just for half a day but STILL work after Memorial day just doesn't feel right LOL!!!!!

3 weeks...wow time is going to FLY by for you!!! I can't for another Happydog TR!! WOOT WOOT!

Hey Jen! Thanks! Well the crafter who made it deserves all the credit! But I just told her what I waned where!!!! Well you clearly made it through the half day because I just saw a great picture of you with Anita and Brooke on your way to dinner!!!! :goodvibes

It better go by quickly that is all I am going to say!!!

The fish extenders and bags are adorable! :thumbsup2

Yay for less than 3 weeks! :cool1::dance3: We hit 3 weeks on Saturday and I can hardly wait. I am sure you are bursting with excitement!

Oh yes, very excited now!!! Should be great fun... I am sure you think so too!!! I have to get back over to your PTR! I wlll I will!

Wow - I really enjoyed the pictures from your European spring break vacation and cruise. And who knew there were so many Disney references along the way. Beautiful gondola picture and what a lovely sunset on the cruise. Your boys look like they are having a blast.

Love the FE. It's really cute. And I love the boys backpacks, too. Really cute.

It really is funny how much jumps out at you when you are not surrounded by it like we are at WDW! It was kinda neat! We all had a blast!

The FE is fun, I can't wait to hang it... and the backpacks are cute, they filled up fast!

Stitches N Bows is the name of the Etsy crafter. She did a beautiful job of course!

I just looked at her things, they are beautiful! I also noticed she is from the same town I'm in! Small world :goodvibes

Love the FE and the sacks!
I'll be back later to post a little more. Now, I have to finish preparing for my 24 third graders. :goodvibes

So, so, so cute!! I certainly hope the boys aren't leaving it behind just yet! You'll have to work on your argument. Maybe after a pitcher of the can x 3 drink. ;)

Looking forward to another HD family adventure. :goodvibes

She really has some neat stuff! Lots of cute things for girls, in particular, and the pillow cases, and the aprons, as well! I think she is close to another DISer I know, too!

Oh that is fine! I know my son's teacher is busy doing the same thing!!! End of the year is such a blur!

HA HA! Yeah yeah, I know! Well, they are still very much into imaginative play, etc., and they were just watching a POC movie last night and the castle image came up and they both were saying how much they love Disneyworld! So I think we are still good... :thumbsup2 Now, unfortunately we are not GOING there this summer! But I think we will all get our Disney fix with the cruise and Vero...

Looking forward to another HD family adventure. :goodvibes

Thanks!!! So am I!!! ;)

Again, another week has passed and I am still amazed it will be here before we know it! :faint: Just a few more days of regular school -- that and graduation on Tuesday (so no regular school) on that day... then we are off to Finals starting Friday! :hourglass Needless to say, the time is going to fly to the next weekend I suspect!! :thumbsup2 I still have a few very important things to wrap up at work, but it should go fast. I think then I will truly feel like I am ready to get my Vacation ON! :yay:

Meanwhile, we start the day off today with Bday party #1 -- My DS5 just turned 6 on Friday the 3rd! :goodvibes I then have a BBQ we are attending this afternoon... it is misting right now, but they say the sun will be out in a few hours, so it looks like a perfect day for both! :goodvibes

On the CRUISE front, I bought a really cute dress, just a nice dress to wear for dinner one night, a neat printed summer dress, that I can wear to a summer wedding (which I have one to attend this year) or on a cruise ;) It was $120.99 regular and I got it for $44.99! I was thrilled. It is very cute, and I found some great shoes to go with it! So I probably ended up spending almost as much as I saved  I'll probably wear it one evening for dinner, not our dress up night, or Remy's night, but probably our Palo's night. I also got the boys some nicer shorts to wear for dinner, and a new pair of swim trunks. The official packing will begin next week. :yay: I sent stuff to the dry cleaner, and have started piles! The suitcases will make their debut then! :thumbsup2

So today I thought I would share my latest and greatest summer drink... Now, I know you are all familiar with the infamous can plus a can drink... if your not, go hop over to MEK, EandEsmom and company's TR!!! But here is another fab cocktail... straight from Venice!

Prosecco, Aperol, soda water, a splash of Gran Marnier, and a twist of orange, on ice.

What is Aperol??!! Well, it is a bright orange Italian Liqueur. Apparently Campari with some simple syrup can substitute, but we found Aperol on the web and bought some. It is called an Aperol spritz. It is delightful chilled and I am surprised I have never had them before! BUT they were very popular on the cruise and in Venice. I think they are mostly a spring/summer drink... :beach:

Okay, so I should be back this week with some photo updates, making progress on the Pirate costume front ...pirate: And the finished FE gifts all ready to go!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, everyone!

I can't believe your cruise/Vero vacay will be here soon. I can't seem to remember. Are you doing a 4 or 5 night cruise?

The end of the school year is just so busy! But it does help the time pass by quickly.

What a great deal on the dress! Since you saved so much $$$, it makes the shoe shopping that much easier. :rotfl:

Happy birthday to your DS! My younger nephew turns 3 on June 8th. He had a party yesterday in MD. Hopefully, next time I'm in MD, we can meet!

Awesome deal on the dress. Score!!!!

That drink sounds yummy! I love discovering new, interesting drinks! I added an app to my phone just or that purpose. :rolleyes1

:woohoo: for 15 days!!!!! I bet everyone in your house is sooooooo excited.

I really want to go on the 5 night cruise next June (June 10th) and then stay DVC for 5 days. Still working on Denny for that one. (the cruise part!)

Wow, I have not been on the DIS in forever and the 1st thing I did was check to see if you guys had been on another WDW vacation. I remember reading your about your Christmas WDW vacation and your DL Halloween trips. Loved your TR's. I just finished reading this PTR and have to go catch up on your cruise with your DH. I can not wait to hear all about your family cruise! I really wanna cruise with my two kiddos someday!!! Til then I live vicarously through other people's TR's. Hahahaha!!!
:banana::cheer2:

You bought a cute dress and didn't show it to us?!?!?!?

Not cool. :sad2:

Hurry up and do all of that unimportant stuff and get to the good part. Show us the dress! :goodvibes

HEY! 5 night! We have a double dip at Castaway Cay --SOOOOO excited for that!

I know the end of the year is crazy! We just had graduation today, which kept things easy today!

YEP, a great deal on the dress!!! :thumbsup2

Of course! I told you, when you come down you let me know! :thumbsup2

Wow, love that app, going to have to check it out! :surfweb: Well DH and I are excited... the boys don't know yet!!! I am really looking forward to the trip, we are doing exactly that! Almost Marc and Anita's trip! 5 night cruise, 5 nights at Vero Beach... it will get me through to our next WDW trip... ;) Well, I HOPE it does, anyhow!!! I am SOOOOOOOO missing Disney this summer already I can tell.... it will be fine, but just seeing pictures gets me swooning! The cruise is awesome. Great fun. I highly recommend them!!! :thumbsup2

Hi!!! Great to have a repeat reader!!! YAY! :yay: I am glad you enjoy reading my TRs, I sure like writing them! Well, we are very excited to take them, too... their first Disney cruise!!!! :thumbsup2

Not cool. :sad2:

SORRY MeMom!!! :) We just had graduation today! I know! I need to show you a photo, I thought I would when I wore it, but I'll see if I can find an internet pic -- you know, complete with a model wearing the dress four sizes smaller than the one I bought :rolleyes1 If I lay it out on my bed and take a pic, it won't come out as nicely!! But I will, I promise! ;)

Lots of fun stuff happening over here on your PTR, HD!

The FE is super cute as are the bags! I don't think you need to worry about your older DS quite yet -- Connor is still all about themed items and even wears his Mickey shirts and such to school still. However, I do have a sinking suspicion that may change as he starts middle school in August. :( I know what you mean about wanting another one just to be able to keep doing all those cute things. :lmao: I am afraid that won't be happening around here, though.

I am with MeMom -- you need to show us that cute dress when you get a chance.

I will have to try your new summer drink. We lived on pina coladas at the beach, but I am always up for new things. ;)

Your FE and bags came out absolutely perfect!! LOVE them!! :goodvibes

Mmmm your drink sounds fabulous....love prosecco so I am all over that one!! :cutie:
MEK there are quite a few "alcohol related" apps out there...just sayin' I may have seen one or two :rolleyes1

After seeing Anita's recent pictures of Vero I think it will be a perfect place to stay....love the rooms and the decor! :goodvibes So excited for your trip!! :woohoo:

Tracy

Oh that drink sounds delish!!!!!!

The boys and I need to figure out what we are doing for our FE gifts, excited it arrived, it is SOOO cute!

Thanks CP! It all turned out well, I think so, too. :thumbsup2 Just working on the backpack gift bags still -- darn it if Nolyn didn't get one of the legos I bought for his birthday! :headache: It is fine, I can get a different one, but that requires a trip to Target and a hope they have something different! It may be that 6th grade isn't the year.... but you teach MS, right? So you have seen the age group... I think it depends on the kid! Hopefully mine will still be interested for a little longer, too...

I will have to take a pic of the dress... the shoes came today. LOVE them. I think a little high but they will look great, and I am excited to wear this outfit.

I would say pina coladas are most certainly beachy! This is not a beach drink... more of a before dinner drink on a summer night... very drinkable!

Your FE and bags came out absolutely perfect!! LOVE them!! :goodvibes

Hey ya! Yes! Thank you! I am excited too! AND I think the projects came out well... I have been excited about Anita's pics, too!!! It does look great!

The aperol spritz is a great summer "before dinner" cocktail heck, we had them with cheese and crackers one evening -- If you like prosecco, you'll like this!!! :thumbsup2

Oh that drink sounds delish!!!!!!

Yes, I think you would like this drink!!!! It is awesome! re the FE gifts, mine came out well. It didn't take me nearly as long as I thought. There are 34 participants. It will be fun I think, and the boys will get into the whole delivery aspect of it... Being stealth!!! I read your post about someone getting too much sun! Bummer, but I agree that maybe having that night was kinda nice, too... Though I'd have bought myself a whole bottle of wine, not just a glass.. The sun can really get you when you least expect it. Still, I am sure Eric was feeling better the next day and ready for WWOHP! :wizard:

Hey Jennifer, I was woefully behind over here! All caught up now - can't believe you leave in just 10 days :woohoo:

I showed Don the pictures you posted from your spring break trip and he is insanely jealous - I really do have to figure out a way to get him over to that part of the world soon!

I love campari so add proseco to that conceptually and it sounds just lovely!

:rotfl: on the whole bottle. I think I'd had a rum and coke (or 2) at the pool and maybe a beer and didn't want to mix but when solo...a glass of wine is perfect.

He was SO ready as you will still see. Monster update on that front coming at some point over the weekend.

34 people or 34 staterooms???? :scared1:

I think we are up to 18 groups but it's more staterooms than that as several are connecting rooms. I haven't counted the people yet. Someone on our cruise is staying in the Walt! I'm not sure if they are in on the FE though but it's fun to read about the perks that come with it. I was finally able to book Palo and our excursions late Thursday night but of course still don't have a stateroom! It's driving poor Eric nuts.
