I have come to the conclusion that there really isn't a reason for me to change my TR and PTR style, and if you don't care for it, don't read it. That will have to be my motto!!

Nope, don't change your style one bit! That's what makes your PTRs and TRs so much fun to read!

It definitely takes a few days to get back into 'synch' when you get home from a trip.

I guess I'm totally out of the loop on the trip report troubles. I can't imagine anyone caring one way or the other how someone writes a report.

We will be driving under the arches two months from today, so you've got us beat.

Good luck getting everything caught up. I often think you need a vacation after a vacation to get everything back to normal.

I must have missed it about the style of your PTR/TR but I love them. It is your report and you do what you want on it. Totally agree, if no one likes it, they don't have to read.

WELCOME back to my much neglected PTR!!! Okay peeps, I hope you have not left me behind!!! LOL!!


I have been up to my eyeballs with school related craziness since returning from spring break. Our break was so late this year that it ran right into the next big school related work I do, and so I didn’t have time to breath and do laundry from our spring break trip let alone update on the DIS!!! I have been reading and commenting, but not a proper update, so finally, here we are!!!


With just SIX weeks until we leave for Orlando and our family fun of sea and shore DISNEY style I have been trying to get bits and pieces done…. I will share a little from my spring break trip to Europe in my next update, Psst... there are pics on facebook, friends!, but here is a peek of some cruise related fun…

FIRST, as you know, we are all dressing up for Pirate’s night. I have my plans for DH and I, but I will reveal those in a later post, once they are finished. In the mean time, I was fortunate to have two FABULOUS DIS friends, who have given me costumes for my two boys! WHAT LUCK!!! Right??!! SO here they are…

WIGD sent me the Jack Sparrow costume and SOONERGIRL gave me the Pirate Skeleton costume!!! DS5 was so eyeing one I happened to be looking at on Ebay, and he is DELIGHTED with the costume…. He has worn it every week since getting it in the mail, I KID you not!!!! I even hung them up in a closet to keep them out of sight, and he went searching for them!! With boot spats (they came with) some swords and some spiffy pirate hats, My guys are going to definitely look the part thanks to you two ladies!!!

Speaking of hats, I just bought the kid’s Jack Sparrow hat from the Disney store site for DS8 (had a gift card, got 20% off, and free shipping!). So now I will just get a pirate hat for my younger one. We too have our various bits and pieces from the Pirate’s league, so I plan to bring all those accessories, as well, to complete the "look" Argh!!

On the FE front, I JUST got an email from the crafter making my FE, and the patches for the boys Pirate-inspired string backpacks (that I am sewing)…

She says they should show up This week!!! OH BOY!

Here is what my finished FE gift looks like!!!

The magnets started with these prints

Then I cut them out and attached the magnet, the cabochon and tada!!! Here are three… A little blurry, sorry!

I popped them into little blue bags… I have a tag I am making, have to get them done, still… Will show you the pile of 35 of these when I am done!!! I may have a few extras…

You can see one in the bag on the top right hand corner… Here is a demo on my baking sheet LOL! I also made the red one with the mickey hand for my fridge.. I plan to make these for the next cruise...

I also got creative and made myself THESE bigger magnets, for our door… those you see of the fab 5 and the others.. They are the “chip board” cutouts from Michael’s in the sticker/scrap book section… I just added small magnets (the ones I had originally bought but were not strong enough for the FE gift) I think they turned out TOOO cute!!

I will be printing magnets as well (from DISigns I found) but I came up with this trick myself…

I will have more to share this week, I have been shopping for goodies for their pirate bags, and some other necessities. I was thrilled to find my favorite sun screen on sale for $6.00 a spray bottle at Target this past weekend.. HEY, it is the little things, right??!!

Okay, all, I hope you are still reading along with me, I promise to give my PTR more attention! SIX weeks!!! Time to start making packing piles and such!!! YAY!!!! Summer can't come soon enough.

Those are some great pirate costumes, I love them! I'm not surprised you just got the email, she is slammed crazy busy but...can pull off a deadline so you will be fine. We still trying to figure out the details of my FE as well.

Love those magnets! I have those chipboard pieces too-great idea to make those magnets too! I might copy you and take them to put on my white board at school.

That's wonderful about the costumes! DIS friends are the best! I'm hoping to snag some pirate-y stuff this year on clearance after Halloween for our cruise next spring. With the new Pirates movie coming out I am sure that stuff will be everywhere and Ben still has all his stuff from Pirate's League too.

Oh C, it is an illusion.... I make it look like I am organized I still have all the little details to work out, you know? Never mind evaluations to finish writing, two big award/celebrations to organize, and all the other end of the year school drama to run defense on. So much drama in schools!!! That and two birthday parties the first two weekends in June!!! Oh well, I am keeping my eye on the prize! NAMELY a cruise with NO internet access!!!! Can't wait for Johnny Depp next week, either. Not sure if we are going to see it before the cruise, probably will. Are you?

It is really funny. I was amazed how entirely into it he is.... They have these Spartan soldier helmets we bought in Greece, they are very much into those right now, too!

Thanks!!! They were easy to make. I have more to create for the cabin door, but I'll get to those in a few weeks.

Oh I see that she is very busy, she wrote as much, indicating that she was taking a break from the "special order" FEs right now, because she is backed up. That is a smart move for her, I am sure she can get overwhelmed with all the orders, and doesn't want to let any of her customers down... She emailed that they went out in the mail today, so I should have them Wednesday!!!!

I know, knowing that they came from my friends on the DIS makes it all the more special in my opinion!

The magnets were pretty easy to make! A few had air bubbles, so don't look too closely!! I hope my fellow cruisers are not going to think they are dumb! I had fun making them, trial and error with the glue, but it all worked out in the end. I have 15 more to make!

Thanks! They turned out pretty good I think! I am giving each family one in the little bag. Our FE group turned out to be a great group. I am looking forward to meeting them.

Oh you'll see don't worry!!! Don't forget, I have a costume closet to raid (theater director) so I have some choices... making a few new pieces, too... trying to keep it simple so as not to be too hot in the weather. I am more impressed that I have DH on board. He is the director, not the costumed one usually!!!

I think your FEs turned out so darn cute!!!
We just ordered the magnets to go on the back of ours today. I think mine might be a little larger... We are doing the 1 1/4 inch size.

I can see it now, me gluing them on the way down.
At least our pillowcase and FE holder came in from ETSY and I'm thrilled with they way they came out!

So glad the costume worked out and you found a hat. I still haven't excavated Baylor's room with the grad party, there hasn't been time. I say let N. play in them all he wants!!!
