Hi All -
Just back from a week in Orlando and wanted to sshare two items of interest.....

I got my rental car in record time and swift return for an offsite company - Hertz - and had a fullsize car for 7 days at a total of $154 - pretty good I thought. Self-parked at WL this stay - finally wised up about paying a daily fee for valet parking when the car just sat there!

Also - we were at WL for 3 nites and we found transportation to be also swift, courteous and accomodating. One day from WL to BB, our bus broke down. Transport manager was there within 2 minutes, we went on to the GF stop, where another bus picked us up within minutes.

Another nite, we went to Chef Mickey's and missed the last boat back to WL at 10 PM. Tho it felt like a bit of an adventure, we got back on the monorail, riding twice in the front car! - off to TTC and got on a bus - again, no wait - right back to WL.

Of course, crowds had long departed on the previous day, so we had lots of transportation, it seemed, to ourselves. Not a single Grumpy behind the wheel, either!!

Any questions, please feel free to ask!

Glad everything worked out for you. :)

Just a lil question... the bus that broke down, was it one of the new low floor buses?

Hey Tyler -
No - don't think so. The driver said his gas pedal seemed to be stuck, actually! Pulled over right near Polynesian. Some lady had a fit she wasn't allowed out because that was her resort even tho that wasn't the scheduled stop. They transport manager tinkered a bit and we went on to GF, then switched.
Not a low floor thingy - i did see some of those, tho.
And Tyler - you provide a great service on here - thank you!

Ahhh, okay... strange occurance. Not that anyone cares or anything, but on our older buses, the accelerator pedal is actually powered by compressed air... and if for some reason, something happens to that air, the pedal will appear stuck... a quick fix, usually.

Glad to hear that the driver did his job... for legal and liability reasons we can't let anyone board or exit the bus once we've left the load zone... That's why when a bus starts to pull away as you're running up, they can't let you on.

Well, thanks for the info, and letting me babble :)
