A Happy Anniversary in Disney without the Kids? No way that could be fun, right?

You'll have a great time without the kids and it will do you good. Myself and DH just had 5 days together in disneyland Paris for DH's 40 th birthday and it was so good. We were able to ride whatever we wanted, didn't have to worry about making sure everyone was happy etc. It was a very different trip but very enjoyable. Do not feel guilty my kids had a great time with granny and were very spoilt .

That's what I'm countin' on! I know that once we get there, my "motherly anxiety" will probably let loose a little and I'll be okay - it's going to be great and I just can't wait till it gets here! Thanks for reading!

Okay, so from October 2006 - March 2007 DH and I lived in Florida, just 45 minutes from WDW! It ROCKED! Oh, and we had annual passes so we were there every chance we got! In March, before our move home, DH's family came to stay with us for a week and go to Disney. Just a reminder - this was DSIL1's ONLY trip to WDW and she was pregnant at the time. Anyhoo, I finally found some pics from this trip, so I thought I would post them since some of the same cast will be on the adult trip coming up. . .

DH was picked to be "Gallahad" in one of the WS street shows:

Okay, so now a funny story from this trip: DSIL2 and I had bought some plaid bermuda shorts from Aeropostale on a shopping trip when they first got into town. The shorts were the same style, but a different color scheme of plaid. We also had the same shirt, just in a different color. (Yeah, that's how we roll! LOL!) Anyhoo, we were wearing these outfits while shopping at DTD, when the cashier at the toy shop there said, "Oh how cute, yall match. Who does that as adults?" It was hilarious! DSIL2 and I just looked at each other and laughed! I always find it amusing when people say what's on their mind without thinking that it could possibly be offensive. I guess it's a good thing that we weren't the type to get upset by that sort of thing. Anyway, it was hilarious at the time, but is less amusing now that I'm relaying it. Sorry for the ramble . . . Oh, here are the outfits:

I see that there has been no mention at all about the possibilty of total chaos at Disney World on this trip.
I believe you undersestimate "the disney twins" effect on your trip.
I expect hi-jinks galore and some sidesplitting photo ops.

My name is Josh, I am the father of two lil Disney Maniacs (Kaitlynn & Samantha). Our Family will be at Disney World during the same time. We were there for the first time as a family in April of 08.
We are celebrating my dads retirement this time around. We will be there for 7 days!!! We are all excited about this trip.
I am particularly excited about being there at the same time as my very best friend Brandon . We work together and I must say ........ "Brandon is the worst thing to ever happen to my career!!". We are always playing around and making fun of each other and everyone else. I exspect this trip to be no different. When we do meet up at DW I truly do feel for the spouses. We will probably go nuts!! So ladies... thank your lucky stars we wont be together much!!

I'm busted aren't I???? Okay, so "honestly" , I was "literally" gonna mention you on our HS day, but I didn't want to tip-off any Disney staff on here to the fact that there may be an incident that day involving two grown men in tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum outfits skipping throught the park with Mickey ice cream bars!!!!! They tend to frown on that sort of thing.

I'm so glad you got an account to post on my TR - be forewarned that this place is ADDICTING!!!! You'll be using "dis-cronyms" in no time my friend.

Okay, so a little update: We have cancelled our Donald's Safari Breakfast ADR for Sunday morning, and scheduled a lunch on Friday at Yak & Yeti instead. We decided that a 9:25 breakfast would take waaaaay to much of our last day park time. Y&Y is one of our favorites so we're definitely not disappointed about the switch.

Okay, so I know things tend to get boring at this stage of the reporting, so I thought I would entertain those interested with some pics of our family over the past couple of years . . .

neighbor!!!! We are looking forward to this "grown up time" very much! I'm sure it will take us a full day just to adjust to being there without the kiddos, though.
