A guestion for Raysharpton

How do I get on the list of attendees? We are going the 3rd---will get in around 7 ish. then take Mears to Swan--Has to be mears as DH travels with own EVC. We are planning on a departure date of Dec. 9th. ( can't afford to stay longer.) I'm so looking forward to this trip and would love to see my name right along side all the other Dis-con-2002-ers. I just started this list for fun...lol.

And I'm fascinated with all this computer stuff.

But more importantly, last year, I didn't get to meet everyone at the official DIS-CON-I event, because I didn't know everyone. I needed a list...lol. At the opening reception, tee were so many DISers walking around.

Well, actually, most people didn't know each other since they only might have posted on the DIS and had never met face to face.

I felt bad not being able to meet everyone there.

I'm pretty shy myself, sometimes...lol. I didn't want anyone to feel left out because they may be to shy to introduce themselves, too.

I also wanted to meet those DISers that were at WDW during DIS-CON-I, but not officially signed up.

So...I made a list of DIS names listed by date of arrival to WDW, alphabetical, and by resort.

I also made a tenative list of unofficial DIS mini-meets. When Patrick's official itinerary comes out
I'll separate the official events from the unofficial DIS mini-meets. Then I'll just make a copy before I go to WDW and try to meet everyone...lol.

We are all waiting for the official registration to come out from Pete, and then for the official itinerary by Patinmn (Patrick).

Since the Convention is pretty well set from December 4-8, 2002 (they may add an extra day on the 3rd), some people have already bought MVMCP tickets for an unofficial DIS mini-meet on the evening of December 8th(the last day of the convention; we did this last year and it was a great way to end the day).

When the official information comes out, we'll all be able to start planning the unofficial DIS mini-meets around the official DIS Convention itinerary.

So...if you know anyone that wants to be listed on this very unofficial list and if they will be at WDW during the DIS-CON-II, either officially or just there at WDW and not signing up for DIS-CON-II, just send them to the thread above and have them post their DIS name and dates and if they want to even where they are staying. If they are staying off site they might want to list that too, and they may be staying at the same place as another DISer. I hope that the DISers that are staying off site will sign up, too.

I want to meet everyone. Whether they are staying off-site or inside WDW, and whether they sign up for DIS-CON or are jst happen to be at WDW during this time.

After all, it is "A Gathering Of Friends".

All the DISers here are so very nice and fun to be around.

And it is alright to be nervous, I think that most of us were last year. But that nervousness disappears quickly with all the laughing and giggling (right Tia). But isn't it amazing that a couple of hundred strangers can plan to meet each other in person after only talking on the internet.

I was sort of nervous at the opening ceremony or large groups.

Oh, Thank you, and please add me to the official "unofficial" list. Just noticed we get in late the 2nd---already a correction. I am so looking forward to the convention. You all sounded like you had a great time last year. Just so glad I get to be a part of it. i would like to do the MVMCP--just depends on DH. He likes to go places and do things but sometimes he gets pretty darn tired. Well anyway thanks for putting me on the list. PattyN---a Dis-con convention"ear" I just love those waving hands.

Oh, yeah, from what I saw, that whole DATW group was just one big shy group of people. They weren't having any fun, just drinking and staring at each other! (especially Jay and Marla-couldn't get them to open up at all!)

Jaypd: LOL...you won't fool me again this year...trying to write me a parkng ticket for my ECV at DATW...lol...lol. And I think that you and almost all of the DISers are pretty shy in their on way.

Marla: How true, Marla...lol. You know if Jay hadn't run my ECV batteries down, I would never had forgotten your collection of DATW cups...lol. Well, I did have a drink at every country.

Patrick IL.: We'll never know now...because I lost the proof...all 12 cups...lol...just kidding, Marla.

Barb: I bought some new green big dogs already, to get in the DIS-CON spirit. It is green, but it doesn't say DIS...lol. It's covered with a bunch of fishing fly lures with the words "The way to a man's heart is....."

DaisyDebbie: I think that you're right...no comment...lol.

dalepool: I haven't bought my MVMCP ticket yet because I plan on going on going more than one night. I definitely plan on going on December 8th to MVMCP, but that is the only definite event that I feel sure about since it is after the official convention. I'm waiting for Tuesday, December 3rd, because I see on Sandra B.'s thread "MVMCP" that Patrick has something going on that day and I want to wait and see what it is.

But I'm ready...lol...with my list of mini-meets...lol.

Husband uses an EVC (except when he is able to use his walker). Maybe we can get a race set up. DH is happy to hear there are people of every age group going. PattyN

Mary Jo - will Simba be at DIS-CON? My reservation at the Swan is for Nov. 30-Dec. 8, but I'll probably change it to arrive on Dec. 1st. I don't think my mom would be too happy if I stayed with her only one night before running off to WDW!
