It sounds more than logical that if the project is going over budget than there has to be cut-backs other places, I just hope it does well so this doesnt go on too long

Doesn't seem a big deal, I'm actually happy to see the parade cut and the trolley's reduced!

Also storybook land and Casey Jones always seem to run with reduced boats and one train resulting in an insanely stupid lineup, it's been this way for years!

I don't know how true the claims in the article are but I have no problems believing Shanghai DL is over budget because of recent photos I've seen. The photos show the park with many areas being far from finished, and what that typically means is that lots of money has to be spent in the last minute scramble to get everything ready for opening day. This is one of the main reasons Olympic games go horribly over budget.
