For those of you that do not have an antenna on your car but would love to put one of those mickey heads on it, see the following links:

I got this idea one day, and we raced down to Yorkdale Disney Store to pick up one of those heads, unfortunately they only had the blue and pink or sparkly ones. Anyways, I took it home and used a drill and some elastic to make this nifty car mirror dangler......what do you think? :wizard:

Very cool we did something similar but put the holes in the ears not the top of the head your idea looks like it would work much better.

Did you drill 2 holes in the top, somehow connect them like a "tunnel" and then feed the elastic through? Or did you drill one hole, and glue the elastic into it? Can you tell ... I'm not creative at all, and need step by step instructions! :rotfl:

Hmmmmm. You could just ask your DD. Betcha she'd figure out a way to do this! :rotfl2:

Mary Liz's DD has the crafty gene. Don't know where she got it, but....

Great Idea...

I will use this idea when we get our new car....darn those Impala's with no antenna...LOL

Thanks for the idea. :lovestruc

Good idea! I love those antenna toppers but my car doesn't have an antenna so I didn't buy any on our past trips. I'll definitely pick up some toppers this trip! :flower:

Actually I just drilled one small hole in the top and then fed the elastic through with a sewing needle that you use for knitting. It has a really big eye hole and would let me feed the elastic into it. Anyway, you take the needle asnd push from the bottom up through the top, then turn it and push it back through the top and down and out through the bottom. Once you have the nice big loop in ontop of the head, just tie a knot or two on the elastic and pull the knots up into the mickey head. No glue, no mess.....just pure mickey dangling fun.... :rotfl: That just sounds funny.

We just put the hole right on through, used a star head screw driver. get some cording from the local craft/fabric store and cut a length around 12 inches fold in half and tye a knot then push that knot down the hole and stop just before you come out the other end. No weird angles and you can chose the colour of cording. Then we use the same cord for mulitply mickey heads.

Love the non-antenna folks working thier mickey head options!!!

I did something like that with mine. I used a small eyelet (from hanging pictures) and screwed it into the centre of the head. Then I measured a length of fishing line, so I can take it off my mirror and change it for holidays. I then loop it through the eylet and tie it off.

I like this one....would work for the Canada flag one too, and the Easter and Christmas ones......very nice. May have to modify ours.
