A good birthday restaurant?

My son will be turning 8 in August during our WDW trip. What are some good places to celebrate an 8-year-old's birthday? We were thinking about doing the Hoop-de-Doo Revue--would this be good? Can they make him feel a little special?

during the HDD, they do ask for those who are celebrtating anything to let a performer(they are on the floor w/the guests; just raise your hand) know. then the celebrant's name is announced and from where and then sung to.

Who is your son's favorite character? Is there a character meal that features that one? If so, book there.

Otherwise, what is his favorite type of food? Select a WDW restaurant that features his favorites!

Be certain to let the server (and host) know that it is his birthday!

thanks for the info and good ideas. Donald is his fave--I'll have to see which Character Meals feature Donald.

donald's breakfastasarous in AK is a good breakfast. and of course donald is there. he is also at chef mickey's. here is a link that will help you determine where donald can be found. http://allearsnet.com/din/cbchar.htm i noticed it said LTT, but in december we did not see him there.
