Well we have been home for officially, 10 days. This whole time I debated whether or not to write this report, because to us this was our shortest Disney visit ever, we are so use of going for 8 – 10 days, but 5 days how could we possible fit everything in.

This was not really a Disney vacation but an opportunity for my DH to get an opportunity to look at a job prospect an hour away from Disney world, while his lovely wife and two handsome children tag along, for a glimpse trip of Walt Disney World. It was also, an opportunity for me to spend some time with my parents since I really could not go to WDW by myself with two 11 month old babies. DH will be spending most of the time working, but will catch-up with us when we can.

So instead of a full WDW trip report . . . here is a glimpse report of our quickie trip to WDW,

Day 1: May 2, 2010

The first thing, I should mention this was a last minute trip, so all day Saturday I spent shopping and packing everything we needed, also making last minute plans with my parents, calling Owners Locker to make sure are locker was dropped off.

That I did not sleep at all that night. . . I just like with everything else I am a Type A planner, so when last minute things arrive I became restless. I gave up around 3 AM, and started putting the last minute things together. I made coffee for DH, who eventually woke up around 4:30 AM. After his delicious morning coffee he loaded up the car, and I woke up the boys (praying we would not have a repeat of last first day trip of WDW when they were 8 mths).

We were out of the drive way around 6 AM . . . boys awake and playing. It felt like forever to get to the airport. DH stopped for gas, picked us up drinks in the process. We ran into a friend at the gas station (not sure why they were up so early on a Sunday) and then we were off to the airport. AND THE BOYS WERE ASLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got to the airport, DH dropped the boys and I off. Tried our best to transfer them in their car seats to the stroller (we brought our own stroller this time, a life saver I tell you!!!) without waking them up, grabbed our luggage and I was ready to check us in while, DH parked the car. (I thought to myself this is going pretty good, boys are sleep, we made it to the airport on time…)

Until, I walked through the doors, it was loud in LAX for being so early in the morning, I could not believe it. Ryder woke up just as I was checking in our luggage, Kyran shortly followed and DH was no where to be found.

While the check-in lady was at least efficient because my two handsome boys wanted out of their stroller, and some breakfast. We made it through check-in and I quickly found a spot to give the boys a bottle and a mashed up banana, DH called shortly after looking for us. He had to park in the furthest lot away. I will never understand why overnight airport parking is always so far away.

Security was a breeze and we finally made our way to our gate, grabbing some airport breakfast on the way. We let the boys play on the floor for a little while, until we heard an announcement that our plane would be delayed (OH GREAT!!!). It was due to some mechanical check-up.

Well, at least the boys were content and made a new friend, heading to the same place.

We finally left LAX around 9:00 AM, we were scheduled to leave around 8:15 AM, but we were off. . . 45 minutes late.

Overall the boys, did very well, they each had a two hour nap on the. Kyran was a little fussy, but was content to play with his stuffy and I brought books, and their favorite toys. We also did a lot of aisle walking, and we bought them a seat this time and there was nobody between us so we had six seats to our family (It was all worth it at the end, especially for a 7 hr. flight). Considering they have never had to stay still for this long, I was quite impressed.

Finally by 3 PM, we had arrived. DH went to pick up the car rental, while I phoned my parents to see where they were at. Lucky us, they were already at the Hotel (We were staying at the Animal Wilderness Lodge) and our rooms were ready bonus.

DH brought back this cook sleek SUV fully equipped with GPS, DVD player etc. It was awesome compared to the Dodge Avenger we had last time. I put in a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse movie for the boys and we were on our way.

I was much more excited this time then last, and all the anxiety I was having last night and this morning was completely forgotten. I was truly excited to be back, even if it was for a short while. I should mention the boys did fall asleep again as we were entering the front gates. Maybe next trip, they will get to see it.

We had finally arrived at Animal Wilderness Lodge; my parents met us in the lobby and helped us unload our belongings. It was hugs and kisses already. Hoping that this trip is all worth it and we will be only 10 hrs. away and not 30 hrs. away.

This would be our first time staying at the Wilderness Lodge. It is absolutely stunning; it actually made me feel so relax, that I was not even at WDW but a hideaway in the forest. I could have spent all 5 days lounging here. The pool is also absolutely amazing (which we used a lot of it was hot, hot, hot).

After about an hour in our room and touring the lodge, we were all pretty starving and decided that we would grab something to eat at the Magic Kingdom. . . so off we went.
