The time has really flown by!! We are about half way packed. I will be completely done Tuesday night!!!

Only 4 more days!!!!!

I am half-way packed and have only a few things left to get into bags!! It almost feels like a dream that it is this close!!

So by this time one week from today we will have already finished up our 3rd park day!! This day will be spent at

We will have started our day at Mission Space and Test Track.

We will have seen Universe of Energy and maybe Tinkerbell and/or some of the Fairy friends.

Lunch will have been eaten at San Angel Inn:

And some of World Showcase will have been explored!!

In Japan we will Pick a Pearl:

Then a boat to Boardwalk and dinner at Kouzzina!! After supper we will either decide to head back to the resort and see Yee Haw Bob or stick around for Illuminations!

All of this in one week!!!!

We are at 3 days!!!! Can you feel the excitement??????

This time next week we will be at

First up we will head off with the masses to get those treasured Fast Passes and ride stand-by at

Then we will take on Tower of Terror

And Rock-n-Roller Coaster

Also somewhere along the way we will see:

The Great Movie Ride

The Back Lot Tour

And we will try to decide which shows to catch: Beauty and the Beast? The Little Mermaid? Lights Motors Action? Indiana Jones?

Food?? We will be eating lunch at 50's Primetime Cafe

and after a break at the resort, we will head to DTD via the boat

for supper at T-Rex!!

Then it will be back to Hollywood Studios for EEMH!! And a nighttime encounter at ToT!! (My favorite time to ride this ride!!)

3 more days and we will be off!!

Hooray for getting your bags packed already. That always make me feel good when I know that's done and out of the way.

I can't remember if you said you'd done Pick A Pearl before or not. I've done it the last two years and have come away with pretty pearl pendants. I'm looking forward to doing it again.

Since we usually wait until the very last second to pack I feel like this is a huge accomplishment!!

Madison did the Pick a Pearl last year and we got twins! She enjoyed it so much so this year she wants to surprise my mom and have them do it together. So....My mom has no idea about this!

I have been off the boards for a week - gotta hate it when real life gets in the way of DISing - but I am glad that I am back in time to say: for only 3 days to go!!!!!!!!

A quick update on where we are in this trip!! One week from tomorrow I will be heading to my mom's so we can leave pre-dawn on Thursday morning!! The wait time for this trip has flown by so quickly and now that is upon us, I feel as if I am not prepared....but it feels like this everytime!!

So what have I been up to?? Well no pictures in photobucket just yet, but we had our countdown dinner last Thursday.....the country??? France!!! We had Chicken Diablo and Provoencial (sp??) Beans and beignets!! It was very good! I googled "easy French recipes" and went from there!!


Over the weekend we went camping at a local State Park. Comedy of errors on Friday night...then we realized it was Friday 13th!! It started with a wreck that delayed us gettign there (not us, but we got stuck in the traffic!), then a SEVERE thunderstorm with hail came through as we were trying to set up our pop-up--causing things to get very wet! And the worse (at least for me)?? Trekking to the bathhouse in the damp, dark woods, I came across a 4ft snake heading into the men's room-the snake not me!! Needless to say I wasted no time, or vocal cords, in letting the other campers know what was going on!! Worse.....I left my sweet DD alone by the door as I sprinted away! Thankfully she was okay and my family thought it was hilarious the rest of the night! The kids said "This has been the best, worst night ever!"....ahhhhh, memories!!

So on to Disney news....the things I have gotten completed!
X Keith's plane ticket booked
X Magical Express set up for Saturday...more on that
X almost everything purchased
X final plans completed
X Online Check-in completed as of 6am this morning! 10 days out and I
am ready!!!

Left "to-do"
__ Clean my house!
__ arrange for my dog to be watched
__ finish packing
__ print out my Touring Plans, laminate and complete binder!
__ purchase those last minute snacks
__ get my cash from the bank (this is an ordeal for me since I rarely go
to a bank...I do everything electronically so planning is involved to
to get me there!
__ get to a good stopping place at work---major stress on me right now,
so hopefully by next Wednesday I will be good but this also
explains few updates and no pictures!

I am sure there are other things....but I simply cannot remember!

Back to the "Saturday" deal....due to Keith's job he was afraid to schedule a flight on Friday in case they needed him and then he would be "stuck". So he is now flying in on Saturday mornign and will hopefully be able to join us at Magic Kingdom on Saturday around 3:30pm or so. i have read some horror stories on Magical Express that makes it sound not-so-Magical....hopefully this will not happen to him! He will have no luggage and no carry-on bags just himself so hopefully TSA will not think anything either!!

This has meant a slight change in Friday and Saturday plans:

Friday remains the same except rather than after our afternoon break us goign to DTD, we will head back to MK and do the fireworks and parade this night.

Saturday: a slight adjustment in that we will take an earlier break, eat lunch at the resort, meet up with Keith and return to MK. Tour for a little prior to our 6:30 reservations at 1900 Park Fare. Then return to MK for nighttime touring and "avoid" the parade and fireworks viewing. Last night I determined I want him to experince a few things he hasn't before: Carousel of Progress, Jungel Cruise and Tom Sawyer Island (you would have to uunderstand my hubby!) and see what he has before: POTC, Haunted Mansion, Splash and BTMRR...maybe Buzz. So if we can fit those in I am good....he doesn't like MK so he doesn't care! Or depending on moods, after we eat at 1900 Park Fare, head to DTD for awhile and ride the boat back. I will fit in the ferry ride to Grand Floridean for him earlier in the evening. He likes the boat transportation!

So there we have it. I have a full week ahead of me but then I will be taking off for our "magical journey"!! I hope to update a coutndown of sorts between now and then!!

Don't underestimate how much time it takes to get from place to place. Weekend crowds are definitely more than week days. if you are going back to your hotel to change before dinner, than don't frustrate your hubby with trying to rush to the MK to meet you. he'll have to turn around and go back with you as soon as he gets there. 1900 Park Fare takes a family photo before you go in, we didn't expect this though we had taken time to freshen up. Now when you get photos taken (when you buy them) they give you a photo pass number so you can add the photos to your photopass set. that dinner takes a good hour or more, so you won't be rushing out any time soon.

Tom Sawyer Island closes at dusk. We tried to go about 7:35 but it was closed already. I think on the weekend we took about 40 minutes for each ride, and that was with short lines. Pick a section (like adventure land) and work through it, then move on to the next section. Saturday the wait time for BTMRR said 30 minutes but it took us a good hour to ride. Pick the ride you think hubby most wants to do and get a fast pass to lessen the wait when he finally makes it to the park.

I understand....I am about to be way behind on reports! Thanks for the tips!! I use FPs like crazy and thankfully I have learned that my plans are just that...plans and I can adjust if I need to!! Very good to know on the 1900 Park Fare pics!! Did you guys enjoy the meal there? This will be our first visit!

2 days!!!!

One week from today we will be going to one of my favorite parks!! (Funny I say that because I think every park is my favorite in some respect! I love aspects of each in their own individual ways!!)

This park seems to get a bad rap sometimes and while it is hot, I simply love all of the thought that went into the theming in this park!!

We will begin our morning getting fueled up pre-park opening with Donald Duck and friends!!

Then we will head off for our 2 week safari!! Where I hope to catch a glimpse of my favorite animal!!

Then we will explore Pangani Forest Trail before heading towards several other rides/attractions:

Expedition Everest (of course)!!

Dinosaur (this picture was "staged"--we have rode it too many times!)

Maharajah Trek (another one of my favorites!! I love the details!!)

It's A Bug's Life!! (another fave!!---seeing a trend here???)

And we hope to see Flights of Wonder for the first time plus Festival of the Lion King!!

And I hope to catch another glimpse of:

We will wrap up our day by going to Hoop de Doo Musical Review for dinner! I am super excited about this first time event!!

Then who knows what we will be doing after that!! (Maybe crashing!!)

2 Days and we will be headed to Disney World!!!!!

We leave tonight!!! We leave tonight!!!

So technically it will be Friday before we actually enter a park at Disney World but since we leave for my parent's house as soon as I get off work....I count tonight as the beginning!!!

Continuing with the "In One Week" posts....One week from today will be our last day in a Disney park...

We will spend our last park day at:

This day we will begin with Soarin' and move on to Imagination with Figment!

After that we will hit The Living Seas

And then we will go back to The Land to ride Soarin' with our Fast Passes and Living With the Land!

Then off to World Showcase we will head!!

This day will pretty much be hitting whatever we may have missed on Sunday.

We will eat supper at Les Chefs de France in

And probably finish the evening watching Illuminations unless we saw it Sunday night! Then we will bid our park visits a fond farewell until next time!!

I would be slightly sad that I have reached the end of this journey...BUT, the journey is really just beginning!!

I have "lived" in the past remembering our past trips and I "lived" in the future looking forward to what is to come. I now plan to "live" in the here and now and enjoy every little thing that comes our way on this adventure. All of the planning and changing of minds, the questions of what to do and when, and the fun in sharing this PTR with you has led me to this very moment where in a matter of hours, we will load our car and prepare to make our journey to The Most Magical Place on Earth!!!!

Thank you so much for joining me as I have planned and shared. I truly hope that upon my return you will come along with me as I reminince on where our adventures led us! I will post the link to my TR here when we get home and settled...and I get it started!!
