A friend of my husband's died this morning...

... he had been ill and was in the hospital. My dh went to see him in ICU on Friday- he was surprised they let him in. He was on a ventilator and couldn't talk but was able to understand just fine. Apparently he made it known over the weekend that he wished to be taken off the ventilator. He was a very sweet man, loved his wife and spent lots of time with his 3 young grandchildren.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your DH's friend

A longtime friend of ours has been in a coma since mid November when he fell off his roof while installing a satelite dish. It's not looking too good : (

I'm sorry Wishy, that's hard to take.

Jerome had a lung "disease" from working in a paper mill for years. He got a virus a couple of weeks ago and just went down hill from there. I really thought he was going to get better though- I can't believe he's gone.

I think he was in his mid 50's. He was a Shriner with my husband. He and his wife are really nice people. They used to bring their grandchildren to all of the family events our "unit" had..... even took them camping with us last summer.... in a pop-up and boy didn't it rain! He was a great guy.
