A show on ABC called "A Regular Guy" just had this dialogue between a teenage employee at a grocery store and his boss about having a raise.
The boss offered 50 cents. The teenager said somethinglike if we were in France, I would have to slap you with a white glove.
The boss said he then would have to hit him with a bagget and it would be a vicious cyle....and then he said
"And we would be in France"
