So our official take off time from the Toronto YYZ airport is at 6:30am and we should be arriving in Orlando at 9:20am if all goes wellWe depart from Orlando at 10:00am and hopefully arrive back in Ontario at 12:55pm. I know some of you may be thinking I'm crazy but I love taking the first flights out because it means we get to be in disney sooner!
I've heard a lot about these beignets. Are they just doughnuts? Have you ever had them?
Day 04: Favorite Princess
I can never seem to pick just one answer right away for these things! I contemplated between Ariel, Mulan and Belle. I love all three of these movies and I think that each of these princesses is a favorite of mine for different reasons. If I had to pick one I guess it would be Ariel!
Day 05: Favorite Prince
I don't really like any of the Disney princes that much and when I was little none of them ever made me swoonBut I do happen to love the movie Hercules and he is the son of Zeus so I guess he's a prince. I love mythology and I think the character in the movie is awesome. So goofy and he's got that little boy charm thing going on.
Oh by the way. When I was searching for pictures of Hercules I noticed one of a little girl posing with Hercules at Disney! I've never heard of him being a character in the parks before. I assume they don't still have him with the movie being so old but does anybody know if they do sometimes at least?

Less than 3 hours! You are so lucky. Our trip will take 21hrs counting the 4 hour stopover in Fort Worth and "if all goes well" we will arrive in Orlando at 9:00pm.
As to your questions: Favourite Pixar- Finding Nemo; Favourite Princess- Belle; Favourite Prince- The Beast.
Yeah, they're kind of like doughnuts. Pretty much just deep fried dough covered with confectioner's sugar, so maybe doughnuts crossed with funnel cake? I've never had them myself but my boyfriend has and he swears up and down that I'll like them and he's usually dead-on with what I'll like.
Hmm.. I'm pretty sure my favorite princess is going to be Merida (big shocker there) but since her movie hasn't come out yet... Eilonwy or Megara (even though neither are official princesses technically), I guess!
Favorite prince is definitely tied between Hercules and Kuzco. Love those two. Naveen is a close runner-up, though!
Congratulations on getting your flight! It seems to be a common strategy to get first/last flights out on the DIS so you're in good company. We're driving partially because I didn't want to give up any park time for waiting-in-the-airport time (also because we're visiting my boyfriend's family blah blah blah. Clearly the important thing here is that we have plenty of time for a Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner!
)
Obviously! Is it your first time at Whispering Canyons? We've never been and I was debating putting it in this trip.
Brave looks so good. I can't wait until it comes out. Merida's not an official princess but she is a princess in the movie so I say it counts!![]()
It's going to be our first time but my boyfriend requested it specially. I'm not expecting it to be a gourmet meal or anything but it sounds fun!
Haha, my answers for hero/heroine are pretty much the same as for prince/princess. I didn't realize they were supposed to be separate categories! My favorite villain is probably Yzma/Kronk (hm, there's a theme here...) but Scar and Mother Gothel are runners up for sure.
We're going to the Wave for breakfast one day as well! I agree, the menu sounds really delicious and interesting; I've been looking for information about the buffet they had but it's been surprisingly sparse.
These are hard choices! Maybe I don't watch Disney movies frequently enough.
Favorite couple: Meg/Hercules OR Maid Marion/Robin Hood. I can't believe I forgot about Robin Hood earlier! I love that movie.
Animal sidekick: Archimedes from Sword in the Stone.
Non-animal sidekick: This one's hard. Aren't like all of them animals?? OH WAIT. Brave Little Toaster is Disney. They're my favorite!
Parent: Mother GothelShe's certainly the most interesting!
Magic Object: Mary Poppins' bag. How much fun would that be? Great space saver on plane flights as well.
Castle: Corona, in Rapunzel! That whole island is gorgeous. And the lantern festival! Just beautiful.
Well since you're going to The Wave before us for breakfast you will have to let me know how the buffet is. I couldn't find very much information on it either other than the price and that it offers a lot of the same selections as their regular menu.
OH BY THE WAY! I completely forgot until I saw my ticker when I posted this but its my two month countdown today! Where is the time going?! Not that I'm complaining because it means I am closer to being in Disney. We watched Hercules last night on our On Demand so I'm going to count that as the movie we watched to celebrate! Haha. DH doesn't get home from class until late tonight and I am sick and don't want to be up too late.
I was reading the new all ears review of The Wave for breakfast and the menu there really got me wanting to try it. We've never eaten there before but I really want to try the sweet potato pancakes. So I switched our Chef Mickeys ADR for January 9 @ 7:05am to The Wave @ 7:30am. I think we might try the new buffet there because I've heard that they have a lot of the offerings from the regular menu available in the buffet.I'm super excited about this breakfast!
