Thanks! And yeah, I get that all the time. I just spit her out.

Love the face-painting!

Thanks !

awesome update OB! :thumbsup2 the timeline pictures at the front of AK are SO cute. And the photopass picture with Simba...awww. I didn't even know they did that at AK. What a cool idea :goodvibes

I love the face paiting too. I thought about getting one last year but we did't have time. DH has never had his face painted. I told him he has to do it thi syear

Anyways, great update, I loved all the pictures! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Next up…Pochohontas and her Forest Friends. We decided to go to this because we hadn’t been last year, and Bird is a big fan of the forest, and animals etc.

2008DisneyWorldNew2075.jpg

We sat in the back while the kids sat in the front, so the kids could have a good view. Unfortunately, that means I got a lot of shots of the back of this guy’s head.

2008DisneyWorldNew2079.jpg

Ahhhh!

I just love it when the animals come out and you can hear all the kids screaming and pointing. They get so excited.

2008DisneyWorldNew2084.jpg

2008DisneyWorldNew2086.jpg

She’s really beautiful, but I really wanted to take Pochohontas home with me and feed her a couple of roast beef po boys. Know what I mean?

After the show, the kids ran up and got leaves from the show. Then we headed out and stopped at this Discovery Station. You stuck your hands in the log, felt something and tried to figure out what it was.

Bird (ever cautious)

2008DisneyWorldNew2096.jpg

Teddy Bear finally gives up and sticks his face in the tree trunk to see what it was. I tried to explain that this was cheating, but oh well.

Next up Kilimanjaro Safaris!

Hey, guy, can you move out of the way a bit -- we're trying to see the pictures from the show! :rotfl:

We haven't done this one yet...does it keep moving with the animals or is there more dialog?

Yes, and Pocho definitely needs to add some meat to her diet -- all those leaves just doesn't give her enough calories! ;)

It's like an environmental show. There is a lot of dialogue between Pochohontas, Grandmother Willow, and the little tree (name anyone?). It's about how we should respect the forest and the animals. I enjoyed it but a lot of older kids and adults would be not so found of it. Lots of little animals scurry about so the younger kids like it. The kids sit in the front and center and the adults sort of sit around them.

great update yet again OB. The pocohantas thing looks neat :thumbsup2

and i :rotfl2: at the picture of teddy sticking his head in the tree to figure out what he was touching. I would have done the same thing.

Kilimanjaro Safaris
I think this is about the time that Teddy Bear starts the “Is this ride scary?” mantra. Is this ride scary? Does it have a waterfall? Does it go fast? I don’t want to go. It’s too scary for me.

I roll my eyes and say, “No Baby, it is not scary and you get to see all the animals on this ride.” Little did I know that this was the beginning of a theme for the entire trip.

Sites along the way…

Love this tree. Very creepy looking.

Paw Paw takes one look at this and turns to me and says “You have got to be kidding me.” I laughed and said, “Don’t worry, it doesn’t go around in circles.”

2008DisneyWorldNew2109.jpg

I always envied the beautiful animal pictures some people get on this ride. I wondered if we went at the wrong times or is it just my amateur picture taking?

For instance….

Rhinoceros behind a rock

Blurry birds

Hippo underwater

2008DisneyWorldNew2116.jpg

This was by far the best. These two guys were playing (according to our guide), but the next thing you know they really started going at it. I thought we were going to have to shield the kids eyes. They really play rough. It was quite a show.

Mamas near by…

Ok I love Pumbaa, but these guys are really gross.

We had to stop because this guy wouldn’t get out of the road.

My fearless Safari partners…

2008DisneyWorldNew2147.jpg

All in all, I would say this was the by far the best safari we had ever been on. We saw more animals than ever and got to see the elephant babies in action !

great update yet again OB. The pocohantas thing looks neat :thumbsup2

and i :rotfl2: at the picture of teddy sticking his head in the tree to figure out what he was touching. I would have done the same thing.

I swear he almost climbed in the thing. :lmao:

I headed over to Dinosaur! for Fast Passes and everyone else went over to…

The Boneyard!

When I arrived, Paw Paw had gone to get a beer, and Sugar was looking a little frazzled. She was a little flustered trying to keep her eyes on both kids. I said, ”Now you know how I feel!” Well, she had Teddy Bear and Bird was around there somewhere.

Here is Bird. Doesn’t she look happy? We don’t let her out the house much.

Anyways, great update, I loved all the pictures! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Somehow I missed this. You must have posted while I was updating.

I am glad you like all the pics. I am waiting for someone to say hey enough already. But really when I read someone elses report that is my favorite part! :thumbsup2

Talk your DH into it. It's such fun, everybody asks where you got it done, and they do an awesome job and have some really great choices! Hey it's like a big face tattoo !:thumbsup2 :lmao: :thumbsup2

Yes we love to see all the pictures!!

Thanks for the ones of the Boneyard b/c I haven't been there before but we'll have to stop by this time. I assume water comes out of the box?? Not sure my 2 yo would appreciate that part so just need the warning!

More great updates and pictures. I see you ran into my in-laws on the safari. Too bad they weren't behaving themselves. You really got to see a lot of animals. I really like the giraffe picture.

Where exactly is the boneyard? I've never seen it.:confused3

Great pix and updates.......:thumbsup2

My cousin's kids love the Boneyard, they could spend all day there....

Wow Orangie, you were busy today!

We love Pocohontas! Wouldn't miss it.
Too cute with Teddy and his head in the log! :rotfl:

And the safari... your pics weren't bad! Were the little elephants making noise while they were "play" fighting? That would've been cool to see!

:rotfl2: There goes Tat making fun of the in-laws again! :rotfl2:

And you guys had a blast at the boneyard! I can't believe you climbed up in there... you are a better mom than me for sure! Love the time warp pics of bird... is she wearing the same shirt? :scratchin

Keep it coming.... and the more pics the better! :thumbsup2

I loved all the pictures on your update OB! I don't think we ever went over to the island in all the times we've been there. Maybe now we'll have to take DGS there! I loved that condo, it is gorgeous! Great update Ob!

You guys are spoiling me today

First LeeLee, then Tat, then you

3 updates in one day......you all are da bomb:thumbsup2

Safari pictures look great!!! I agree Pumba is way cuter than those on the ride

The boneyard looks like a lot of fun. I think I might have to take a couple hrs to take ds over to Ak and let him play. AK is not our fav park, but might have to hit it up this year

I love time warp pics of course

Oh, too funny about Teddy Bear and his head up the log:rotfl2:

I swear he almost climbed in the thing. :lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl: he probably could have fit. That hole looked pretty big

btw, i read the update on the safari. You got some REALLY great pictures!!!! And the baby elephants playing must have been awesome to see! I'm so jealous. What a great memory that is. I hope we get a really cool safari like you next time :thumbsup2 off to read the NEXT update...you were busy yesterday :flower3:
