Hello all! We're recently back from my 3rd trip to Disney World :yay: and my Boyfriend's first in 16 years :eek:, and it was amazing! We had originally booked our trip with the DDP with the Wine and Dine add on, but after realizing I didn't want to be restricted to just wine for dinner for my alcoholic beverage choice, we dropped that and went Deluxe! And if I do say so myself, it was a MUCH better decision for us!

Meet the Cast!

That's me (the fanatic) on the left, and my boyfriend, Andy (the first-timer) on the right. I love everything Disney...so much so that I got teary-eyed several times throughout our vacation! (I know, I know...) Although this was my boyfriend's first time that he can remember, he is a Disney trivia king! The man's childhood consisted of almost only Disney movies, so having been raised as a Disney kid, I knew the World would be the perfect place to vacation with him!

We went down for 6 nights, 7 days (not even CLOSE to long enough for me!), and took full advantage of our 3 meals a day! I attempted to take pictures of every meal, but for some reason I only managed to get pictures from 8 of the 17 meals we ate at (boo me!), so for some of these, you'll just have to rely on my descriptive, flowery, imaginative writing style!! :thumbsup2

The Itinerary:
Thursday, May 5:
[post=41182438]Tutto Italia[/post] for Dinner

Friday, May 6:
[post=41193243]Boma[/post] for Breakfast
[post=41213574]Yak & Yeti[/post] for Lunch
[post=41232046]Le Cellier[/post] for Dinner

Saturday, May 7:
[post=41358704]Grand Floridian Cafe[/post] for Breakfast
[post=41500424]Pepper Market[/post] (Resort) for Lunch
Coral Reef for Dinner

Sunday, May 8: Ummm...may or may not have been a little hung over :rolleyes1, so we only managed to do San Angel Inn for Dinner. But Jellyrolls was a lot of fun:woohoo:

Monday, May 9:
Maya Grill (Resort) for Breakfast
Took the day off for Universal Studios, so no lunch
Cinderella's Royal Table for Dinner

Tuesday, May 10:
Crystal Palace for Breakfast
Pepper Market for Lunch
California Grill for Dinner

Posts will come sporadically, but I'll make sure to link the posts to the itinerary so everything is easy to find! :thumbsup2

Count me in! We are leaving first thing in the am for WDW and I cannot wait...I hear it is going to be a super hot week but the good news is zero chance of rain.

Cute couple and great photo! Can't wait to read your reviews since you went to some places I have on my list :thumbsup2

For our first night there, I decided we were going with MY favorite type of food, since the vacation was my idea and all!! :rotfl2: It was between Tutto Italia and Via Napoli, but since Via Napoli seemed to specialize a little bit more in Italian pizza's, I thought I'd stick with the more traditional restaurant. And it was a smart choice! Tutto Italia turned out to be the perfect pick for both the environment and the food! Our server, although I cannot remember her name, spoke with an authentic Italian accent, as well as most of the staff that worked there, making it feel almost like we were in Italy!

For Andy's appetizer, he had the Prosciutto di Parma, or ham with seasonal melon. Although he has tried this several times at other restaurants, this was my first experience with it, and it was delicious! The combination of salty from the prosciutto and the sweet from the melon worked deliciously together!

For my appetizer I had the Calamari Fritti, which Andy and I both agreed was some of the best calamari we've EVER had! It was deep fried to perfection with the perfect amount of crunch, and the marinara was seasoned with crushed red pepper which added some spice to the combination. I would easily go back here just for the calamari! :worship:

They also served us a basket of assorted Italian bread with extra virgin olive oil and this pesto butter spread which was to die for! I couldn't stop eating it...it was like crack spread! :rotfl2: I was tempted to ask them to take it away because I already knew I wasn't going to be able to finish my meal!

For Andy's entree he had the Arrosto Di Vitello, or Veal Roast, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes, and it was delicious as well!! Although the presentation of the food wasn't the most spectacular, the food itself still did the job, and despite this being his first attempt with Veal, I'm sure he'll be trying it again!

For me, I stuck with a traditional Italian choice...Lasagna!!!! It was good, but for me, not up to par with the other courses we had. It wasn't that I wouldn't order it again, I just wish it had had some flare to it like the other dishes seemed to posses. But like I said earlier, I would have come back here for just the calamari, so the Lasagna could've come frozen and with no sauce and I still would've had a great time!:)

Although I have no pictures, for desert we both opted with something lighter, considering how extremely full we were! Andy ordered the Raspberry sorbet, and I ordered the Lemon sorbet, and they were a perfecting ending to the meal! Being nice and light, we were still able to our enjoy our sweet treat without continuing to pack our stomach's full!

Overall, great choice to start off our dining extravaganza and would definitely recommend this to anyone!! Next up, Boma for Breakfast!!

For breakfast on Friday I took Andy back to a restaurant that I loved on previous vacations...Boma!! On previous vacations with my family, Boma always proved to be the best breakfast buffet and this vacation did not disappoint! It's kind of hard to take pictures of EVERYTHING they offer, so I just snapped a couple pictures of our plates the first time up!

On the first plate you see a piece of corned beef, roasted tomatoes, these delicious breakfast potatoes and goat cheese and chive scrambled eggs, which were to die for!! Now if I would've been smart I would've taken a picture of my plate BEFORE I started digging in :rotfl2:, but since I didn't what you see left is both their original and goat cheese and chive scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and bacon. I also had filled up with some of their sausage, and went back up to make sure I got some waffles!

The juice pictured in the background is their house juice, which I believe they said was their Jamba juice, and it was delicious! Andy actually loved it enough that he said we have to go there a couple of times on future trips!! :yay: Good thing I found a Disney recipe guide on here so that I can surprise him with it beforehand!!

Boma is delicious for the fact that they offer not only the traditional breakfast favorites, but also things such as those AMAZING goat cheese and chive scrambled eggs and their meat carving station which offer different meats depending on the day of the week. They offer the perfect mixture of breakfast for people who aren't adventurous with what they eat and for people who love to try new things with every meal!

Love the reviews so far. We are trying Via Napoli over Tutto Italia this year ... your reviews are making me think about it!

Subbing............Tutto Italia looks fantastic, I am happy I have an ADR there for our October trip, just wish I could change it to dinner instead of lunch.

I love Boma too when I stayed at AKL it was great, I did have an ADR for breakfast there in October but changed it since we are staying at BC and DH is not big on traveling in the am to eat breakfast :sad2:

Can not wait to read more of your reviews :)

Great reviews so far! You guys are brave with 3 meals a day! We did deluxe last year and did a 1TS lunch and signature dinner each night and it kicked our butts! But it didn't defeat us, because somehow even though we swore we would never do it, we're going deluxe in less than 2 weeks! Can't wait to read the rest of your reviews! We are staying at CSR too! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Count me in! We loved Tutto the last time we were there, and Boma for breakfast is a must do for us! We are going to try it for dinner in July.

Boma sounds great... Nice summary. It's one of few breakfast buffets on property that I've never tried... Maybe the only one, in fact. My kids just aren't adventurous, and dh may try new things, but he likes to know good recognizable standby's are there. Me? If there's lots of protein-filled stuff, I'm there! Carving station and goat cheese eggs sound fabulous!

We're trying to stay at AKV some time in the next year, so that would be a great place to book a breakfast.

Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

We ended up cancelling a couple of our ADR's for lunch...we had Tony's and Sci-Fi Dine In booked for Saturday and Sunday, but we got through the parks much faster than expected and decided just to head back to the resort for lunch. We did decide that next time we head back (hopefully next May again! :yay:) we won't book reservations for lunch and then we can just decide where to eat for those on the fly. I thought for sure I would hate getting up early every morning for breakfast, but it actually allowed us to get the parks done with minimal crowds and heat!

Is this your first stay at CSR? I hope you like it! I think we've decided that it's gonna be our resort of choice...we're a young couple with no kids and it seemed as though it had the shortest amount of wait for buses, etc, and the least amount of screaming children... :laughing: Let me know what you think!

I would definitely suggest making an ADR for it next trip. Your kids will have PLENTY to choose from, and if they decide they'd like to try something new they'll have options as well! My boyfriend loved the carving station...it was the first stop he made while preparing his plate two different times! :)
