A few ?'s for those of you who added on in the recent promo - UPDATE

I am seriously considering doing a 100pt add-on with the current promo. I was going to hold out for BLT but the more I think about it the more I think we should go with the current promo. As I understand it, a 100pt add-on will receive the following items:

- 100 Developer points to be used within one year of contract date at SSR, II trade or DLR
- $500 Visa gift card
- $8 credit per point

Now here is my question (I do have a call into my guide and I hope to hear back from him shortly). Our new points will have to be the same as our existing UY - right? Ours is June. Will we receive 100 points for '08 UY as well as 100 pts for '09 UY?

For those of you who added-on, did you receive '08 UY and '09 UY points?

We took a tour of AKV last week with our guide. We are considering an add on and wanted to see the units before really deciding. We have a Dec use yr. and our guide told us that Oct, Nov, and Dec use years would receive 2008 points as well as the developers points. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info. I've got to say that it is somewhat troubling to hear that only certain UYs will recive both '08 and '09 points. I wonder why that is Wish I could ask my guide this morning but I still haven't heard from him

I have a June use year also. We are in the process of adding on 100 points. We went on the waitlist for 08 points. They were not available when we first called but did just become available. Our intention was to waitlist until the end of this month and then just add on with 09 points.

One note: be careful to verify that all of the paperwork for the promos is included with your package. We just received our 4th Fed Ex package with the final document needed to get it all correct. I was a little frustrating.

Update: Spoke to my guide and he said I could waitlist for 08 points. There are some available now but not enough. I think I am going to waitlist for them. If they come through, I will go ahead and do the add-on. If not, then I will just wait and see what promos come in the future. We have enough points for our 09 trip thanks to our initial buy-in so I'm not in desperate need of the points (but it would be nice to bank a few for 2010 )

We have an April UY, and we added on 100 pts last week. We won't get the 100 points until next April, but we also don't have to pay dues until then. It worked for us- we aren't using them until next year anyway.

I'm officially waitlisted for June 08 pts and apparently I am first in line for them. I was told that I will get all of the promo items whenever the points do come in

DW & I are thinking about AKV or waiting for BLT but after searching the internet almost all of the internet rumors are saying that BLT will sell between $120 & $180 per point with no incentive. I would like to hold out but I definitely think BLT will be the premium of premium DVC.

Just checked my member account online and I know have 100 2008 AKV points and a new contract on my account

I am now the proud owner of 100 developer points, 100 '08 AKV points, a $500 visa, $8 credit per point and lets not forget 260 points every year at AKV now

OK - I think I am done adding on for now - or at least my checking/savings account hopes I am
