We are staying at CR North Garden Wing.. (SOG). I am wondering which rooms are better. We would like ground floor, but someone said in another post that these are prefered rooms? Do you have room numbers to ask for? Also, on EE (Magical Hour, or whatever its called) is the monorail the best way to get in? Can you or should you take the bus? Do they arrive first?
TIA

Kimmie

If you are going to the MK for the magic hour I would walk. It is a leisurely 10 minute walk. If you take the monorail you will have to walk to the main building and then the monorail will stop at the Transporation and Ticket Center, Polynesian and Grand Floridian prior to heading the Magic Kingdom.

Thanks Tracy!

How stupid of me not to think to walk..LOL!!
I get so worried about some details, I overlook whats right in front of me.:D

Still would like to know about favorite rooms in the NGW!:Pinkbounc

the ground floor rooms on the parking lot side are probably not prferred, but who wants a patio that over looks the parking lot. We had nice water view rooms on the second floor, rm 8226 and 8225.
here is the floor plan http://www.wdwig.com/contmap.jpg

Personally I would see if something around room 7115 wasn't preferred. You'ld have a short walk to the bus stop and a patio that over looked the playgound

I loved the walk to the MK from the Contemporary. It was a great escape from the crowds on the monorail. It is also a benefit when exiting the MK after a parade. No long waits for the monorail.

I had a 3rd floor North Garden Wing room facing the parking lot....BUT I could also see Space Mountain, Cinderella's Castle and the Astro Orbiter! I sat for hours on the daybed watching the monorails going back and forth. It was AWESOME :teeth:
I think I would be dissapointed if I had an actual "garden view."

We were in 8123 in October and it was very nice. It is ground floor on the very end with a patio and is right on the lake. We have asked to have it again when we check in TODAY.

i can't remeber our room number, but it was the last room on the second floor near the small elevator...it was a quiet room since only one side of the room had a room next to it...that elevator was quiet.

also, the washroom is on the second floor too...which comes in handy bc you can you go back to your room while your clothes wash.
