Hi, We are going to dlp in July :cool1: and have a couple of questions,

1- do I need to book character meals before we go and if so how do i do this? not so fussed about getting the best food but just want kids to get best experience of characters.

2- we are staying at Santa Fe, how does the breakfast work, do we get a time slot allocated on arrival or do we request one?

3- how and when do i book gmfl breakfast? and can you do this more than once?

4- how does emh work? as it looks like it is on every morning while we are there?

I am sure some of you helpful experts will be along soon to answer my queries......and reading about everybodys trips is adding MEGA excitement to our anticipation!!

I can help with a couple of your questions :)

do I need to book character meals before we go and if so how do i do this?

Although you'll probably be able to do reservations when you arrive, if you want to be certain of eating where you want, when you want then you can ring the restaurant reservation line on 0033 160 30 40 50

how and when do i book gmfl breakfast? and can you do this more than once?

You can have a GMF breakfast every morning of you stay if you wish! Again you can book when you arrive, but as space is limited, it's probably best to ring the DLP booking line to check availability, and ask them to add it on to your booking. You may also have to fax the request in, though I'm not sure if they still require you to do that.

Hi,

At the Santa Fe, when you check in, you are given a choice of which time slots are available for breakfast, for however many days you are at the hotel for breakfast.

You can book your GMF there when you check in, or you can phone Disney on 08705 030303 (from UK) to get the GMF added to your booking, for no extra charge. You will be sent an amended confirmation email including the GMF. You do not have to fax them anything now, they take all the details from you over the phone (I just did this myself 2 days ago, for my trip in early October). I have booked 2 GMF this time, on consecutive days.

I think your other questions have been answered except this one.
When EMH is morning you can enter the park 2 hrs before official opening. Just before the bag search area there will be cast members checking hotel id and they only allow people through who are eligible. You just need to show id then can proceed through bag check and through main gates. I assume those who are eligible by having dream passes will show those instead.
There are then certain rides open for you -usually seems to be several in Fantasy land and a few in Discovery land.
About half hr before park officially opens they may let other guests in but they will only be allowed as far as end of main street then will have to wait for official rope drop. If you are eligible for EMH you can go from Fantasyland to D land and vv even though others are waiting for rope drop.

One tip is to do EMH then about 5 mins before park opens wait at rope drop in Fantasy land near Peterpan ride and be amongst first through to get on POC

thanks everyone, thats great, no doubt i will be back with more questions before we go!
