A few questions

I have a few questions and maybe some of you good folks will be able to answer for me.

1. Will be at Epcot just for the day on the 29th of this month. I know by noon or so it is going to be hot and I thought that maybe we could jump on the monorail and head over to the Polynesian hotel for lunch. Is that possible? I know that we would have to change monorails at least once.

2. Is the ESPN area over at the Boardwalk walking distance from Epcot? Isn't there an entrance back by France somewhere?

Just looking for an idea to get out of the park for a little while during the afternoon when the crowds and heat are a little much. Not staying at a Disney resort.

The answer to both of your questions is YES.

Both good and easy options.

If you're looking to get out of the heat, I would monorail over to the Poly. Unless you're in a restaurant at Boardwalk, you will still be walking out in the heat.

I was thinking about lunch over at the ESPN Zone at the Boardwalk.

Don't forget to bring your bathing suit to pool hop.

And bring your resort mug from last trip, too.

JUST KIDDING!!!

There's also a great boat from the International Gateway (back door) entrance) of Epcot to the Boardwalk. If it's hot (and it will be!!) you might want to take the boat, as it is a much cooler option!!!

It's no trouble to monorail over to the Poly.

Have a great trip!!

I'm actually looking right now to book a couple of nights at either the Dolphin or Swan and then I can break the day up by going back to the hotel.

I've eaten lunch at ESPN a few times, it's great. It's just a five minute walk from the International Gateway, between UK and France, or you can take a Friendship to the Boardwalk.

If you end up staying at the Swan or the Dolphin, ESPN is just a short walk from them as well.

Good point on the air conditioning of the boat, but the ESPN Club is the first returant the OP will come to when they walk out of the International Gateway. If there's no boat there, they're definitely going to be inside the AC at the ESPN club quicker by walking. :)
