A few questions for all you Londoners out there...

I'm leaving for London on Saturday, and have a few questions...

Regarding footwear, I'm bringing a pair of black&white pumas as my walking shoes. I received a nice pair of moccasins for christmas, and was thinking about bring them to wear in the airport & on the plane (just to be more comfortable on the loooong flight!) Here in cold and snowy Chicago mocs are fine to wear outside in the winter, but I'm wondering how they're received in London? Will I be considered sloppy?

I've been to Paris a few times, and am pretty much using my wardrobe for Paris for London as well. I have dark jeans, black coat, scarves, etc. I'm planning on wearing dark clothes and adding color with accessories. Does that all sound okay?

Finally, is there any popular slang I should know? I'm aware of a bit, like snogging (lol), but I'm sure there's more! I'm also clueless about common customs, haha.

London's a multi cultured place, so no matter what you wear you would not look out of place

only use the black taxis and not the private hire taxis as they will rip you off, and only the black taxis can stop to pick you up on the street

as for slang most londoners have moved away now so you won`t hear much slang

hope you enjoy our city as one day i intend to enjoy yours
