This is a really odd phenomenon I've noticed about Universal LOL, I really think Universal needs to do more advertising about how its not a roller coaster park. So many people I've noticed think Universal is a Roller Coaster park, I am guessing similar to Cedar Point. I have NO idea where this got started. I really think they should do a big ad campaign to get the word out what they are really like.
And to OP, no Universal is NOT a roller coaster park, they actually have very few roller coasters in the park. Most rides are themed rides similar to Pirates of the Caribbean or Soarin, if that gives you an idea. Not saying they are just like that, but similar in that they are based on a theme, have tons of animatronics, movie sets, props etc. Universal also uses some 3-D technology whereby they mix live movie sets, props etc., in with 3-D video projection for a seamless new type of ride experience where you are immersed into a 3-D world. I don't believe Disney has anything like that, not sure haven't been to Disney in a few years.
