Hello Everyone..

First post here. Planning a trip to disney with wife and 21 month old son. I have a choice to go between Oct 1-10 or Dec 10-19.

We know that October should be quiet, but are worried about son catching H1N1, especially since Orange County has widespread flu activity right now. December 10-19 will of course have better weather, but I'm sure it ill be very crowded. However, by December, our son should be vaccinated.

Considering the above dates, would anyone here choose one date over the other? Any thoughts about the H1N1, and any concerns from folks out there? I haven't really seen anyone comment about it, so I'm hoping no one is coming back sick. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I think early December would be better...the weather is nicer and not as much rain. Just keep your hands clean and wash often...you should be fine.

thanks, if i chose to go in oct(1-10), is that usually a quiet time? would dec 10-19 be much busier on average?

It's the flu. Not the Black Plaque, its not the Andromeda Strain. Quit listening to the "sky is falling....the world is coming to an end" talking heads on CNN.
Just enjoy your time and WDW and keep your hands washed, you will be fine.

I agree with RNtheRN.....don't worry so much!
I tend to worry too but wouldn't ruin a trip over it.
40 kids at my daughters small college have gotten H1N1 and have ALL recovered in less than a week!
You would be more likely to pick something up on the airplane getting to MCO, than once you are there!!! I work for an airline and when I fly, I wear a long, cute scarf and breathe into it during the flight. The air recycles, I don't know how many times, over and over through out a flight....THAT'S where you get sick.
Go and have a great time!!!!:thumbsup2
