We are trying to figure out what to do no NYE. Based on everything I have read on here i doubt that we will be going to a park. However we would like to at least see some of the fireworks. Right now we are waitlisted for BWV/BCV to be close to EPCOT. So here is the question. If we end up staying at OKW, will we be able to make a Late dinner reservation at one of the monorail resorts, and be able to drive to that resort like we do every other night we have dinner there. Does anyone know what the latest dinner times are? Any suggestions on where to eat that night. Also I am sure that the menus are limited that night, is there anywhere to see a menu/prices. Any help will be appreciated. Even though we have been to disney many times, i almost feel like this is the first with all the plan ahead stuff involed. We dont do that anymore when we go.

disneyaddic.
NYE is one of the busiest time's of the year, they have and do close the parks as early as 9:30 in the morning We stayed at Swan and made our dinner reservation at the grill for dinner we
thought because the parks were not busy (9-11)
We would have no problem after dinner, Well
let me tell you by 10:00 you could not get near any thing in EPCOT, I think MGK was also full .
So just to be safe you might think about makeing you dinner reservation at one of the parks, The last seatings are usually aroud 9:30 - 10:00
the parks stay open till about 1:00 so every one can get out, They have special parties at Boardwalk which is a walking buffet is the best way to explain they have shows and food all around the boardwalk, We did that one year it was great the cost is about 100.00 a person but well worth
it, They also have special parties at
Pleasure Island they close the area until about
6:30 7:00 and only let in those people with wrist
bands, Same goes for Boardwalk, year before last we did Hoop de doo the 9:30 show, We stayed at the contempory and got reservations for desert at 1:00 but when we left the show as we were crossing the lake it's one of the few times disney runs boats that late we got to see the fireworks
from the boat the captain stopped the boat and we all were out side looking they were still going off as we docked
We then walked to contemopry and when up to the resturant and had our desert they were serving coffee and small pasteries. So think about picking a place to be and go from there, I hope you enjoy
it as much as we did, We will not be there this year as we will be cruising for NYE some where
in the carribean with the mouse,on the wounder. We have decided to start trying differt Holidays and see which one's we like, and take if from there,
although we will be there in Sept for a short fix.
December is so far away I could not hold still..

Thanks for the info. Please everyone keep it coming, we need all the ideas we can get. What about the parking, if we make a dinner PS at say Kona or Concourse Steakhouse will we be able to park at that resort while we eat(Note: we do not want to do this to get to MK, just to eat). I know we can during other times of the year but what about then.

Thanks ahead of time,
Judy
