We will be at HH Resort next week for the first time and cant wait. We have never been to this resort before. We are 3 people in a studio. Which I know will be tight but I could not get a 1 BR which I really wanted. Anyway how big.small are the studios compared to the disney studios? I have only stayed in a studio at BWV if that will help for comparing. I know they have the refillable mugs there. Does anyone know how much they are? Also any good restaurants within walking distance? Happy Hours within walking distance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have never stayed in a Studio at HHI, but my old book says it is 455 sq ft. For comparison, Saratoga is 355 and Beach Club is 365. We always enjoy getting pizza from Giuseppi's which would be probably a 10 min walk or they may deliver. There are also several places to eat in Shelter Cove and I would think they have Happy Hours. Enjoy!

We just got back from HHI and had a fabulous time. There are lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. We ate at the Kingfisher with our kids (early and outside!), there was live music across the street/bridge and several more bars and restaurants in the area. There was also a comedy club on the top floor of the Kingfisher.

We stayed in a 2BR so I can't comment on the size of the studios, but the 2BR felt quite a bit larger than the 2BR we stayed in at the BWV a few months ago!

Hope you have a great trip!

One special thing I like about the studios at HHI is that they come with rocking chairs on the balcony. Have a great time!

The HHI studios are the largest in the DVC system. You should have no problem fitting 3 folks in one. We have done it twice with 2 adults and 2 kids and felt we had plenty of room.

We are squeezing 5 into a 1 bedroom in August so I hear you....
Does anyone know how the 1 bedrooms compare to others...It hard to get a feel with the 360 view...it looks small.

My middle son is taking the sleeping bag on this trip, we could not get a 2 bedroom, but it's only for 4 nights..

Enjoy!! and report back!!:goodvibes

HH 1BR villas are larger than all WDW 1BRs except for OKW. They are also a little smaller than 1BRs at VB and GCV.

The Studios have a nice arrangement where you enter the villa thru the kitchen. The living area has a queen bed and queen sleep sofa, so there is a lot of room when the sofa is folded up. The balconies in buildings 11/12 are quite large too. The connecting door for the lock-off is near the bed - but they are rarely used as lock-off 2BRs so that door is not used much at all (only if a HCA 2BR is needed).

1BRs have very large balconies with a picnic table and rocking chair.

Enjoy! :)
