1. How much of a tip does one usually leave Chef Gordon for A Private Affair?

2. I understand the Dolphin Cruise is $30 per person - will it be $30 for my 8-year-old and my 5-year-old, or do they get a kids' discount?

3. Are arm floaties allowed at the swimming pools and on the slide?

We leave in 2 weeks!! Can't wait!!

Chef Gordon is a Disney employee, and when you get the bill to sign, it is already filled out with no room for a tip. I think I remember reading that CMs are not allowed to be tipped.

The dolphin cruise is the same price for everyone, we had an 11, 8, and 5 year old, and they were all $30. They take up a seat on the boat, and the boat has a capacity of 6, so everyone is charged the same.

Floaties and other pool toys are allowed. Lots of people had them.

We were at HH just under a month ago. We loved it and can't wait to go again next year. Have fun.

On our recent trip to HH. we saw more dolphin along the beach than on the guided tour we took a couple of years ago.

What about the Beachcombing Outing? Do you see a lot of dolphin on that as well? We were thinking of doing both, but if we will see dolphin on the Beachcombing Tour as well, maybe we could just pay for one....

I went with my family on a nature walk at the beach in HH last August. I don't recall seeing dolphins. We did go on the dolphin cruise through Disney and my family was thrilled to not only see, but also touch the dolphins. We plan to do the cruise again this summer.

TxMommy,

We had great experiences with both the beach combing and the dolphin tour last July.

When we were returned from beach combing , a fishing boat came along to clean their catch. Naturally the dolphins were attracted as well as sea gulls and pelicans. The fishermen had the dolphins jumping up out of the water to grab the scraps. It was probably a once in a lifetime experience. It was breathtaking!

On our dolphin tour, we saw more dolphins (40-50??) feeding where the ocean met the creek. It was the start of high tide. We saw little ones swimming along with the moms. Our 6 year old could have reached out a touched them if we had let him, they came right up to the boat. Also amazing!

When we go in July this year, it will be a tough call as to which we do. I suspect that we'll try the beach combing first even though it's more costly and see if we have a good show of dolphins. Then we might still do the dolphin tour.

Have fun whichever you decide to do.

THe dolphin tour doesn't charge for under 3's, but all others pay full fare. Wednesday is typically a member discount of $5 per person. Definitely try the dolphin tour - it was fantastic - the highlight of the trip for both me and my 6yo daughter. I am grateful that they didn't charge for the 2yearold, because he fell asleep about halfway through the trip :)
