Next week we are going to Sea World and Aquatica. I was thinking of hitting DTD for dinner one day. My questions are

1. Do you have to pay for parking?
2. Is the McDonalds there priced like normal? Do they have a dollar menu.
3. Do they have open benches/tables. Some of us might eat at McD and others at Earl of Sandwich. Wanted to know if we could all eat together.
4. How are the prices at Goofys.

You do not have to pay for parking.
The McDonalds is exactly the same, and yes they have the dollar menu.

Not sure sure about 3rd and 4th question.:confused3

3 - The tables at Earl of Sandwich are just outside the door under a cover, I'm sure the McD's diners could join you there. There is also a small amphitheater (not covered, though), where we have sat with a CS meal when there's no show going on.

4 - More than I would ordinarily pay for a snack, but not bad for a special Disney creation dipped and coated and drizzled with whatever you want! But I was glad we had QSDP snack credits to use there. :upsidedow

1. Parking is FREE. There is more parking available on the West Side shopping area near Planet Hollywood then on the Marketplace side as the Marketplace has more Disney themed shops.

2. The McDonald's there is over priced and has NO dollar menu. If you want a normal priced McDonald's drive 5 minutes down the road to 535 to the Crossroads shopping center. They also have a Buffalo Wild Wings, TGIFriday's, Sweet Tomatoes, and UNO Pizzeria.
3. The tables at both Earl and McD's are open tables that anyone can sit at. Both have indoor and outdoor seating available.
4. Prices at Goofy's are a little high due to the fact they are 'Disney' candy. You can find the same type of candy at any grocery store or Walgreens. The difference being that you bought it at Disney with Goofy's face on it. They do have candy and caramel apples as well as dipped strawberries and marshmallows that are good.

So wait. What is it.

There is no Dollar Menu and it's overpriced?

Or

There is a Dollar Menu and it's the same as everywhere else?

It's over priced. Not sure about the dollar menu but I don't think it is likely as you will spend about $8-$10 on a combo. I know there is at least a $3 price increase at DTD than when I eat at a local McDonald's.

Or skip the McDs and go to Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich instead!!:lmao:

Seriously though - we have never eaten at the McDs but I recall looking at the menu a few years back and thinking that they had upped all the prices compared to what one would normally expect. Not sure on the Dollar Menu.

I agree with this because for the cost of McDonald's in Downtown Disney you could pay a little more and get a much better meal at Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express.

There is NO Dollar Menu at any McD's on property. The prices ARE higher than what you would pay if you went to the one 'off property' down the road at Crossroads.

Overall: Skip it!

Problem is, some people in our family are picky eaters. I would love EoS or WPE. But my little brothers and sisters might not.

One more question, sorry.

Do the sandwiches at EoS come with Chips? Or are they extra?

Chips are extra at EoS. I think they're around $1.69, the same price as the side salads. EoS is one of the best food deals (and excellent sandwiches) on property.

The hand-dipped snacks at Goofys aren't a bad deal- I think its $2.75-$3.50 for 3 pretzel sticks or the marshmallow Mickey. Then you can customize it and watch as they make it. Fun and delicious.

Ahh ok

On the menu found here at DIS, it doesn't list just a regular Turkey and cheese sandwich?

Menus and prices are available at allears.net under Dining.
I never tried since I find the Earl's sandwiches interesting as is but I would assume you could get what you want such as just turkey and cheese.

The All Ears menu has a plain turkey and Swiss sandwich on the kids' menu. Also PB&J, grilled cheese, or a "pizza sandwich," whatever that is. We are talking about children, yes?

For an adult, you could probably order the Full Montagu (roast beef, turkey, 2 cheeses, lettuce, tomato, mustard) without the beef if you really wanted. But my understanding is that all their sandwiches are hot (except the wraps).

Yes, the sandwiches are hot including the PB&J which grossed my kids out when theirs came out :rotfl: :rotfl:

Don't forget about Wolfgang Puck Express.... REALLY good food :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if the McDonalds in Downtown Disney takes Disney Dollars/Gift Cards for payment?
