Hello!

WDW-obsessed, 16-timer here! Real quick about me: I love WDW, Epcot is my favorite park, I worked in The Disney Store in high school, I love Disney music, I love Dole Whips, I'm a big Princess fan, I watched the All New MMC when it was on The Disney Channel in the 90's and thought it was a great show, I considered naming my dog Figment, and I will never be able to go to Epcot and not miss Horizons, my favorite now-gone ride of all time. "If we can dream it, then we can do it, yes we can, yes we caaaan!" (If you've never heard that song from Horizons - look it up - it's so good!!!) I also love and miss the song "Listen to the Land". (I just saw a children's chorus singing it on Youtube. *SOB*)

And....I'm a bit of a lurker. For years. Like since '98 when I was temping in NYC and all I wanted to do was go to Disney. But I'm finally posting! I live in L.A. now and it's all good, man! Weee!:woohoo:

Why am I posting??? It's been 5 years since my last WDW trip and I've just gotten the OK from the family that it looks like we WILL be able to go in early September! YESSSS!!!:yay:

So I'm at the VERY beginning stages of trying to figure it all out. (I'm the Planning Commissioner - and am always in charge of the schedule when we go, because I'm the freakiest Disney freak of our bunch of Disney freaks!) :cool2:

This time there will be 5 of us (all adults):

My Momma, 60-something
Her BF, 60-something (first Disney trip for the guy -he's so excited!!)
Me, 30-something
My BF, 30-something
My sister, 30-something

Right now I'm debating on either getting two rooms at ASM or Pop, OR look into one of those family suites at Art of Animation.... all though I'm leaning towards two rooms. Thoughts?? We are budget conscious - and I've stayed in many WDW resorts, but this time I think we're going to go for a Value resort to save cash. But if there's a deal at a moderate... we may be swayed....

Also, this is the first Disney visit that I am gluten-free. WHAT AM I GONNA EAT??! I'm a little nervous that Disney will have enough options - although I went to Disneyland last September and they had gluten-free hot dog buns at Casey's, so THAT was DIVINE!! But I'm obsessed with my Vitamix and am not sure what I will do without smoothies... no more Bear Claws for me. Oh, Canada. (Canada! Canada! OH MY Can-Na-Da! I love that song too!!! I hope it's still there....)

And I'm hearing about this free dining plan through the DIS grapevine....what is it and how do I get on that? :scratchin

It took me YEARS to get on a Disney coaster.... and now I love them... BUT I've never been on Everest....and I THINK I"M GONNA RIDE THIS YEAR!!! Should I be scared? How big is the drop??? Does it go upside down?? Cuz that would be a deal-breaker for me, folks.

That's all for now. Thank you in advance for any advice or recommendations!!!
