we stopped and got some McDonalds fries!

It's a tradition for me to get McDonald's fries after riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at last once during the trip.

The McDonald's fries always seem to taste better at Disneyland.

haha I noticed that about your hair too, its lovely and looks perfect throught the day. Mine just goes a complete mess when im away, it wouldnt even straighten properly when i visited Disney Orlando

August 12th cont'd



This is when we met Oscar the chef. He is probably the sweetest man I have ever met! I fell in love with him and so did the rest of my family. More about him later though

We met Oscar on our trip too!!! Isn't he great. I was in AWE when he told me how he knew Walt and has been there for over 50 years!!! He was one of the high lights of our trip!!

Great TR btw!!!! Can't wait for more!!

I am glad you are enjoying my pictures! I don't think I gave a warning at the beginning but I took 800!!!!! What better place to share them though than here with other Disney lovers who would understand the love for them! I am glad they are getting you excited!!!!! That makes me happy!

Oh good! I am glad you found it I was so impressed they gave me a pair for free too!! I was totally expecting to have to pay for an eye exam as well as a box of contacts! I was so thrilled when she was so nice and just handed them to me!

As far as my hair I use Goldwell Top Whip Mousse.

It holds my hair so well!!!! Then I just back comb my crown to get some extra body, use some good strong holding spray and voila! It lasts until Splash Mountain! hahaha. My Mom actually bought my sunglasses for me before we went. They were CHEAP, like $10 at her tanning salon. She bought me two pairs in case I lost one so if you like, I can send you the other pair! I won't be needing 2 now that I am home. PM you your mailing address if you like!

Awww really? Well I have never been to Florida so maybe it's more humid there and thats why! Believe me, I was actually surprised at how many good hair days I had in a row at DL!

Aaawww - that's very sweet of you! But go ahead and keep the 2nd pair just in case you lose the other pair or sit on them (like I do to mine ).

I live in FL and the humidity is crazy for hair! Mine likes to frizz up, but I just discovered Frederic Fekkai's glossing cream and it seems to work great for me (knock on wood, 'cause I just ordered a bunch).

August 12th con't

When we got back to the grounds we made our way over to California Screamin'. I have to admit I was a little nervous! So was my mom. She does not do rides but she made a promise to herself before we went that she would do every ride we did at least once! I was so happy to have fast passes as we only waited about 10 mins!

I was so nervous when we made it to the start of the ride. The anticipation is what gets to you!!! But when the count down started in my ear I knew we were about to go! I kept my eyes open the entire ride and was so proud of myself!!! I was sad that it came to an end as I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! Surprisingly SO DID MY MOM! YAY!

My brother and husband in the front and me and my uncle in the back. It's so funny because you can tell Lance and Bryan didn't feel too comfortable with lifting their hands all the way up quite yet!

After that we made our way to that main st in CA. My Mom really wanted a turkey leg so we stopped at a stand and bought 2.

We were so close to the Tower of Terror at this point so I wanted to go on it sooooooo bad!!! The wait time was only 20 mins so we thought what the heck! My mom and uncle waited outside for us. My Mom said she would do it the next day.

It was super cool inside this ride! The storyline was amazing and every detail did not go unnoticed! The people in front of us had 3 little kids... and I mean LITTLE! The youngest was 4 and the oldest about 7. I asked the little boy if he was scared and he said no because his dad is pretty scary. LOL. His dad was right there and laughed. I said then he could probably handle it if he can handle his dad

We loaded the elevator and began our journey! This ride was friggin' awesome!!! I am sad to have only done it twice as I could have ridden it ALL DAY!

The 4 year old boy is right in front of me with his parents and sister. And then beside me is the grandma with one of the other kids. My brother is beside me and then the row across from us is Bryan, Sierra and my aunt!

This is such a cute TR! I cry every time I go through the tunnels, and I have to admit, I cried when I was reading your report and saw the "old friends" sign. My family thinks I am a little crazy...also love the pink crocs and would love to hear more!

August 12th con't (can you believe this is STILL day 1?!)

We all decided to head back to Disneyland for some supper before the fireworks. I really wanted my picture in front of the train station because it was my first day!!! My wonderful husband joined me

We walked back through main st. and I said to my family "I will never have a very first day in Disneyland ever again!" It was bittersweet. We made our way down main st and stopped to grab a bite of food at.....

It was terrible!!!!! That was one thing none of us were impressed with was the food!!!! O.M.G.! YUCK-E! It was nothing to write home about, I don't suggest it!! It started to get chilly and we forgot to bring our sweaters from the hotel. My Mom said she would be right back. When she got back she handed me the cutest tinkerbell sweat shirt! I love it!!!!

After dinner Bryan and I decided we wanted to explore a little bit on our own so we took off and headed to Tomorrow Land. On our way there it was the first time I saw the castle all lite up. I was so excited and asked a CM to take our picture. He was so nice and agreed! It's one of my fav's from the trip!

We really wanted to see Honey I Shrunk the Audience. It was ok, but sorta lame and needed to be updated big time!! After that we went to the Star Wars ride. Again, it was ok and needed an update!

We made our way back to main st. and met up with my family. The fireworks were about to begin so we got a spot in the crowd and waited. I loved every second of them!

After the wonderful fireworks we slowly made our way to our premium seats for Fantasmic! They were awesome!!! We had a personal server who brought us whatever drinks we wanted and we also got a scrumptious dessert tray each!!

Too bad we hardly ate it all!! It all looked so yummy!

Fantasmic was AWESOME! There are no pictures because I was videotaping the whole thing. We all just loved it!!!

Ok I am going to wrap up day 1 pretty quick now! After fantasmic me, my mom, brother and cousin made our way over to Space Mountain because had FP's from 10:45 - 11:45. As tired as we were the 4 of us did it! Again, another amazing ride!! My mom again LOVED IT!!!! She had no idea she loved rollercoasters so much! We both agreed though that because it is Disney we felt safer knowing it was so well maintained!!!

I think the look on my face is PRICELESS in this photo!!! I had NO idea where the camera was (obviously!)

After Space Mountain we walked back and got on the shuttle to take us to our hotel. We were EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!! Having a 16 hour day in DL on 4 hours of sleep definitely took it's toll!!!

That is officially the end of day 1!!! *phew*
