A Fairy Affair -- Aidan's MAW TR 3/1-3/7

Hi, guys! I am happy to report that I am posting this from home! :woohoo: Aidan took a turn for the worse last week, but he fought through it and has now been discharged. We are at home, and working on recovering from the hospital routine. Thank you all for the hugs, thoughts, and prayers! :grouphug:

We have decided to go with the port in regards to his venous access. They have not put the port in yet, though. We are being referred to a surgeon, and they will do it on an outpatient basis.

I will get started on uploading pictures today, and will hopefully have the next installment of our trip report posted within a few days. Since Easter is this weekend, it might take me a little bit longer than if it were just a 'normal' weekend, but I need to hurry up and get it done because I am starting to forget some of the little details.

Anyway, we are excited to be home, and I am so glad to be back to the DIS! :yay:

WELCOME HOME AIDEN!!!!! Miranda I am so glad to hear you are home and Aiden is doing better. Please take your time we will be right here waiting. Enjoy Easter sweetie:)

Miranda,
I'm sooooo glad to hear you guys are home!

I might miss some of your TR updates since we leave in 6 days  but I absolutely CANNOT wait to read it!!!!!!

I'm just so glad to hear Aidan's doing better!!:hug: Have a wonderful Easter!!
Blessings,

I'm so happy that he is home. Take your time on the TR and take care of your baby.

So happy to hear you are home. :thumbsup2
I hope you all had a joyous Easter weekend.
Looking forward to more of your TR whenever you get around to it.

I just came across your trip report and read through your whole PTR today as well! What an amazing reveal!! I'm really enjoying your TR. The pics and story are great. We are going to GKTW next month, so your info is really helpful!!

I hope Aiden is feeling better!:goodvibes

I am so sorry to leave everybody hanging for so long. I haven't disappeared, and everybody is doing fairly well at this point. However, between Aidan's recent hospitalization, a full schedule, and leaving for Cincinnati tomorrow morning, I have been swamped! It is driving me crazy not to be able to post the rest of our TR, but I'm not giving up on it! We will be back from Cincinnati next Monday, and I'm really hoping to get back to the trip report then. Hopefully I've still got a few of you hanging around. Although, it seems that I'm not the only recent wish tripper that's slacking. :rotfl: Just wanted to let you all know that this trip report is still officially "in progress". Hope everyone is doing okay and that you are all just busy! Be back soon! :grouphug:

Miranda,
please, no need for apologies. Every one of us understands, more than most, what you are juggling. Concentrate on your family's needs. The TR will be here waiting.... (nice little pressured end, huh?).

Seriously, we're just glad he is doing better.

I guess I would be one of those slackers wouldn't I :lmao: Seriously I can so relate to life getting in the way. Take care of everyone and we'll be ready and waiting when you can get to it. :goodvibes

I hope that Cincinnati went well and that Aidan is feeling better! Thinking of you guys.

I woke up Tuesday morning at about 6:00 to the sound of thunder. After checking the radar on T.V., I realized that it wouldn't be smart to venture out just yet. :sad2: So, since everybody was completely exhausted from our first day's activities, I let them sleep in for a little while. Meanwhile, I enjoyed a cup of coffee on our front porch and thought about what the rest of the day would hold. The weatherman was predicting that the storms would be out of the way by about 9:00, so I was hoping that we would still have most of the day to enjoy.

Once I woke everybody up, we went for the GKTW required Ice Cream Breakfast. We rode the train, and the boys really enjoyed it.

Keegan and Aidan had banana splits, and Peyton had cookies and cream with lots of sprinkles.

After breakfast, we headed over to the Castle of Miracles. The boys had a blast making their pillows. If you look in the background of the next picture, you can see "The Lurker". ;)

I only got a picture of Aidan's pillow, but Keegan got a McDonald's pillow, and Peyton got a Deigo pillow. After pillows, the boys played in the castle for a while.

The wishing well that burps, complete with pennies:

And after lots of playing, we finally got to watch as Aidan made his star:

After spending the whole morning at GKTW, it was time for us to head to one of the parks. Which one? Stay tuned to find out. . .

Woo Hoo!!!!! Awesome update!

I just love GKTW. :)

And I loved seeing "The Lurker" in real life!! :goodvibes

I hope the rain clears up. And I hope you end up at a park soon....I wonder which one you will head to?

I'm loving ice cream for breakfast. Great idea. It's great that there is so much to do it's like a park in itself. Wonderful update.
