A driving question to folks in Pennsylvania and West Virginia (**update #19**)

Well, I am glad the power is back on and you will still be able to make your trip. Just sorry to miss seeing you two when you passed thru NE Ohio.

Perhaps another time!:)

Our forecast for the week is HOT - 90's with humidity, and a chance of afternoon storms. Typical summer weather but would suggest sticking in a small umbrella to carry around if you have one.

We went downtown yesterday (Sunday) and the tour groups have arrived in force. Crowds were low first thing when museums opened but definitely built as the morning went on. Getting out and about early is a big help these days.

Glad your power came back on quickly. Hope you have a nice trip!

Tee hee, nothing like a bunch of Diser's to confuse you:hippie:!

Route 1 - not as hilly, more tractor trailer traffic, not as scenic.

Route 2 - more hilly, less traffic all together, scenic, and from what I remember, road is in better condition (think smoother).

Either way will get you where you want to go!!!

We drive Md to Ohio and back 6-8 times a year. I will agree with wdwmom, plus add the following

Route #1- more narrow roads, but more place to stop and buy coffee, restrooms etc.

Route #2- wider roads, but less places to stop and those places are away from the highway a bit.

We go the 79/68 route in the daytime.
