A Dream Come True - 2/6/11 4-day Bahama Cruise

- AKA long time virtual DIS friends - who met for real -
We bonded over a magic rodent who owns a castle -
Now we're thick as thieves!
:lovestruc

Some of us are thicker than others :rolleyes1
:duck:

Jamie's obsessed with my girls....:confused3

(but not as much as Jeff!!)

Well Rosie you do have two beatutiful girls! You and James should both be proud! I've only met one in person, but they....

Oh wait!

Nevermind.....:sad2:

You better be talking about Rosie's Girls.

Oh I'm just talking :rolleyes1 you know me... Talk talk talk.

 Geeeeesh ... cranky.

SEVEN DAYS!!!!

This time, next week, we should be AT the airport! I'll be sitting there, fidgeting nervously and my husband will just sigh and pretend he doesn't know me. (On the upside, no wheelchair. On the downside, I'll have to carry my own luggage :confused3 )

:banana::banana:

They should be more concerned as to what is going to happen on this cruise!

Hurricane - Check

Gangplank falling into the Sea - Check

Stranded at Castaway Cay - Check

What do we have planned for this adventure? :confused3

Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to!!!!:rotfl2: Every time I cruise there's some sort of adventure. I haven't done the gangplank into the sea thing, and I missed the stranded at Castaway Cay thing by two weeks. I've done the out-of-season tropical storm thing and the hail in the Caribbean. Maybe that's enough adventures, and all of ours on this cruise will be caused by the people instead of circumstances! I'd love to come home with proper "blackmail" type things to tell (or not, if the price is right).:rotfl:

We will be leaving for the airport a week from tomorrow. I've already arranged for our ride to the train station, and from there it's 57 minutes to the airport. I can't wait. I am so tired of snow and ice!

Maybe we'll cancel each other out! :rotfl:

Well, this is going to be an adventure. There was no disclaimer when we booked this cruise.

Only a week left!!! :woohoo:

It's still going to be a fun cruise. Were looking forward to meeting everyone. :goodvibes:

:thumbsup2

Well, we're getting more snow. We're now in the 2-5" range, which is kind of worrisome because the DPW plow crew doesn't work weekends. Or afternoons. On that note, current long range forecast for day of departure is "bone chilling cold" (accuweather.com people are wusses) of 19 and partly sunny. Whew!

What?

Thats crazy! :sad2:

Yep. Surprised me too, but it explains SO MUCH. Like why traffic gridlocked for less than 2" of snow on Thursday... that started falling at 3pm. Who knew!

Looks like we only got another 2" of snow overnight, but now it's topped with a quarter inch of freezing rain. No road crew/salting/sanding = oh god I am not leaving my house this weekend.

(We got 5" of snow on a Sunday in December. It took until Tuesday before the highways were clear!)

In better news, I heard from my dearest grade school friend, who now lives in Tampa! She and her husband will be driving down to see us on Saturday for sure! Woohoo!

Hope those in snowy climates stay warm!

I need to pack and shop today. Hopefully I get motivated to do so.

Hooray shopping. I already have the sea sick meds, so I'm good there. Clothes might be a good option... Here's hoping for some nice weather!! :wizard:

I went shopping for like 3 hours today. I'm completely packed for myself - my husband has his suit packed and will tell me what clothes he wants packed on Wednesday after he starts his vacation and does his laundry.

Got my fish extender gifts put together today.

Only thing left to pick up is sea sick medicine for my husband but I'm getting a giftcard to target this week from work so I'll just swing by there when I get that.

I got everything out and ready - just have to literally put in in the bags!

Did the last of the clothes shopping today. Still slim pickin's around here for spring/summer items. Tomorrow: laundry and suitcases!

Also, I checked online today and we were finally moved from main dining/9pm show to the main dining/5 pm show. Woot! Much better for our family!
