A Dream Come True - 2/6/11 4-day Bahama Cruise

I have 32 days!

I am walking!
I am without my leg brace!

No running or anything, yet. My freedom came with a giant warning of "TAKE IT EASY. BE WARY OF SNOW AND ICE."

I think the cruise is exactly what he recommends, then, don't you? :thumbsup2

So excited. So so so excited.

(Odd, for a first day back at work after break!)

Glad your knee is feeling better:hug:

Ok so I just read thru all 41 pages of this thread. First off, you guys are crazy :lmao: but in a good way ;).

Secondly, a FE gift exchange was only briefly mentioned.

I would love to organize one so if anyone is interested please let me know and I can start a list. Basically all we need to know is room number, first names, and whether the participants are Adults or children (that helps if people want to get gift specific.)

For Example,
Room #, Jennifer & Robert, 2A

And if no one wants to participate then I guess I will just gift myself cause I already placed an order for a new FE for this trip.

Okay I have my DSIL and her family as well as mine that are going to participate in the FE. Are you still organizing? I know there has not been a lot of people wanting to participate. Sorry it has taken so long, my family is doing a B2B and on the second leg we are doing the FE (which I am organizing) and didn't really want to do it twice. But..... now that my extended family (who will not be B2Bing) want to play, we don't want to miss out on the fun with family. We have another group of friends that are B2B'ing with us, I'm going to check with him too and see if they is interested.

Let me know if you are still organizing, then I will get you our information!

Congratulations! Now be careful with that knee so you can enjoy the cruise!

Yes ma'am! I have orders from my surgeon to take it easy for the next six to eight weeks, especially in the ice and snow. :rolleyes1

We're 32 days away! Can you believe it?!

Oh Mr. OrlandoMike ... Any New News for Us? :rolleyes1

And those will be the LONGEST days ever!

We're expecting more snow again tomorrow, this time "only" 3-6 inches. Last week's snow is still everywhere. I walk about two miles each way as part of my commute to work, and sidewalks are still not cleared. I spend a lot of time walking down the middle of some very busy streets! I want to be where there's no snow on the ground, no ice, and maybe even have the temperature stay above freezing at night. Anything beyond that will be a bonus!!!!!:rotfl:

Long story....

But I'm on the ship now, that's all that matters! :thumbsup2

Oooh 3-6 inches cripples southeast Michigan! That said, we're doing an inch or two a day, starting yesterday, through the weekend. The easy solution to that is throw lots of salt at it. GOoooooooo Michigan!

The sun also hasn't come out since Tuesday. It's grey and white outside. January is a miserable month here. We may not get boatloads of snow (once since we've been here!) and it's not always cold (we have the every 3rd year of below zero windchills)... but the sun doesn't come out in January.

I'm already starting to think about where to go NEXT late Jan/early Feb.

One month, now! We can do it. I hope. :)

I live at the shore, one block from the beach, and up until last year we hadn't gotten a whole lot of snow since 1994! The sun does come out, and today is an absolutely beautiful day, except for the yucky gray/brown snow piled everywhere. Hopefully the snow predicted for the weekend won't be too bad. I'm waiting for the cable company to come on Saturday and get my cable hooked up at our new place. I'm tired of trying to do all my online stuff on my cell phone!
