A Dole Whip in my hand & my toes in the sand: CBR/Poly Split Stay – This Is The Life!

Will keep my fingers crossed you can make the May trip work

Thanks Sheila! :goodvibes

Love the pics at MK Shelly! I saw a special once on the Christmas decorating at MK and they said they work from close until dawn, have tons of people, and it's so super organized that they can do almost all of it in one night. But they have steps so that if they don't do all of it, the next night they do another thing and it never looks like they've left something partially done.

Walk on Jungle Cruise??? I've never seen such a thing!

I'm excited to see the fall/Halloween decor - it's one of the "special" times we have never been.

Thanks Sheree! :) That would be so neat to see all the people decorating everything so fast!!

Yep - walk on JC. I've never seen that before either. It was great! :yay:

You will enjoy WDW at Halloween-time! :cool1:

I'm so jealous that you could walk to MK! :snooty:

I can't believe they were already decorated for fall! That's really early! I love fall, but I always wait until October 1st to decorate. They start having those parties so early though that I guess they have to go ahead with it.

Cute family pics on Main Street!

It was such a nice evening, we really enjoyed our walk over to MK! :goodvibes

I don't decorate for fall until October either. I expected that WDW would have decorated the first week of September since the parties start that following week I think....I sure never expected to see it in August! :upsidedow

Next up was POTC, also no wait! We even got to have 2 rows to ourselves. The kids sat in front of DH & I!

Then it was onto Splash Mtn for DS12 and I!! After our last experience on it and getting totally soaked clear down to the underwear, we decided to wear ponchos this time!

Then we made the long ugly trek (with lots of construction walls to look at) to Tomorrowland and watched Monsters Inc with about a 5 minute wait.

Up Next: Wishes!

I just LOVE this pic of the castle! It looks like a postcard!

OK, now I will put on my Scrooge cap. Maybe it's because I don't get all hyped for Halloween, but I don't really like how they decorate the parks for Halloween. There, I said it. Flame away! :guilty: ;) Christmas decorations, I'm all for (never been there during the season, but would love to see!), but I don't like decorations for all the other holidays. If I went to DW a lot, and saw it the regular way often, then I guess I would enjoy seeing it decorated for the holidays more. But since we only go every few years (heck, it's been almost 5 years :sad2:) then I want to see plain ole Disney World...

I agree!!! :yay:

You surely did pick a good evening for visiting MK. When I read that you did ISAW I felt sad since due to the FantasyLand Expansion when we go in March that will be closed permanately for the new Dwarfs Coaster. I like seeing new things go up but I do so hate that the older attractions have to go to make room for the new stuff. I am also dreading all the construction walls, no matter how much they try to "pretty" them up I still think they look ugly

Whenever I tell friends about the low crowds in August- nobody believes me! But I'm sure they're even lower the last few days leading into the first of Sept. Did you see a big difference from the beginning of your trip to the end? It's such an awesome feeling to just walk onto a ride. We didn't wait in many lines this trip either.

That's a great picture! I can never get that one to turn out. And I don't care how many times I go under that thing, I always think I am going to get wet!

Thanks for the ride through SM. I don't think I'll ever see the inside of that ride again since I can't stand the drop. I wish they had two rides in one... one the traditional way and one without the drop for ride chickens. And I'm all about a poncho on a wet ride. I can't stand to walk around wet!

Love the picture of the Liberty Belle too. That's really pretty with the reflection on the water. Man, I wish I was there right now. :guilty:

Yeah, construction sure isn't pretty. At least we know it'll lead to something AWESOME! I love the picture of the castle where the sun is setting. :goodvibes

I'm glad you enjoyed the pics Mel! How have you been feeling? :goodvibes

I've been feeling physically fine, but psychologically my brain is fried after a day with my students so I haven't been on the DIS much at all lately. I'll try to catch up on your TR tomorrow and post an update on my own TR as well. :)

Hope things are going well for you too!

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that It's a Small World is not leaving....only Snow White's Scary Adventure. I'm pretty sure about this so I hope that makes you feel better. :goodvibes

You always get such good pics on the inside of rides!! Mine never come out, unless I use the flash.:scared1: I know, big no no -- don't yell at me.:rotfl2: I don't do it if people are around us, which is most of the time. This past trip I *may* have yelled at someone on the HM b/c of they were using the flash. For the whole ride. Taking video. Wasn't my finest moment, but it got my point across.:rolleyes1

Anyway--- did you get wet at all on Splash with your ponchos on? When we were there the next week they didn't have the big water cannon shooting so we never got soaked.

Did you like the new Blackbeard mist in POTC? I wasn't a fan of it. Belle said he wasn't scary enough-- Davey Jones creeps her out, yet she loves it.

The non-existant crowds that night were awesome! I think you chose a great night for MK!!!:woohoo:

Looking forward to Wishes!:cloud9:

Duh Me :headache: Your right :thumbsup2

We sure did! :goodvibes

They aren't getting rid of IASW are they??? I haven't heard that one....Maybe it's something else you are thinking of....:confused3

Yes those walls look ugly no matter what!! :scared1:

I actually think it got a little busier towards the end of our trip. The closer we got to Labor Day weekend. But still, none of it was busy at all! :cool1:

Thanks!

Funny, my DH always thinks he is going to get wet on the POTC too! :rotfl: He's always like -- I forget, how wet do we get on here? And I'm always like - um not at all!!:lmao:

You are right, they should offer an alternative on Splash where you can miss the drop part! :thumbsup2 Well, I mean for ride chickens....

I wish we were there too. :cloud9:

Glad to hear you are doing well. :goodvibes I bet the long school days are draining though.

Yep, that's it - Snow White is leaving. Guess we should have went on it one last time on this trip. :upsidedow
