So just wondering about the majority planning FE gifts---are most doing one per cabin , or one per guest, or adults vs kids??? It's our first experience with FE and I know it can go many directions....and I haven't seen any "guidelines" posted here so figured it would be pretty relaxed. Thoughts?
If most are doing more than one gift per cabin, it would really be helpful to fill in those blanks!!

I don't think there are "guidelines" to follow. Its really what each cabin is willing to do. I believe we are going to do one for the cabin and not specifically to adults/kids. This will be our first time participating as well. Looking forward to it!!

We are doing one per person based on age/gender but I think it's anything goes. There are no rules - it should just be a fun experience!!

of course....I get that there's "no rules"....just wanted to get a sense of whether our group is leaning toward individual or group surprises...looks like an even split! Still planning and plotting....

I agree with what everyone else has said, it what you want to do. Last time we did one per person. We REALLY liked one of the gifts we got last time, that was one per cabin. We decided to replicate it in our own way for you this time. The gifts are always great and we are always blown away at people's kindness and creativity. Some of our most memorable souvenirs have come from our FE presents.

I am COMPLETELY new to this site and entire process (not even sure I'm posting correctly); we want to participate in this FE group. I just went to the FB page and requested to join the group. Can I get all the needed information on FB? Or do I need to do more here? This is our first cruise, we booked it this weekend and I have just been informed (by friends) of Fish Extenders! We are very excited to participate in this with you!!

I can't wait for the boys to see that!! My mom is turning 70 and I'm excited for her to see all of her "goodies" too!!! A little unrelated but I have a question. I keep seeing DH and DW. Do these mean Disney wife and Disney husband? I'm new to this and want to get the correct lingo!!

Good question. There's a huge difference between the two lists. Also, when does the list close so we have final numbers?

OK, technically since FE's are a DIS Board thing, Post #41 is "official" list. Some DIS'ers don't Facebook or Google. This is why I keep posting asking for the info. The cutoff date is Oct 15, aka the Final Payment Date. Between then and now, I hope we can get the to two lists to balance.

right! It gets a little confusing with Facebook options (and I know there's reasons why DIS and Facebook meets/groups are at odds). Will keep an eye on things---and add our info to the DIS posting #41---and wait for you to give us the OFFICIAL final list after Oct 15. Meanwhile, still plotting and planning!

Thanks everyone for your patience with the lists. As we get closer to 10/15 and then chatter in this thread is going to really ramp up. I know I have been doing a lot of "business talk" on here and wanted to share a little about me and the Banks fam. For those of you who visit us on FB, know or have at least seen a little of my chaos. I, Shawn, am a 6th grade world history teacher. My wife Bobbie teaches 1st grade at a different school. We are waist deep in cub scouts with our boys. They are also big soccer players. Bobbie and I are also avid motorcyclists and ride a Honda Goldwing trike. We take it all over the Midwest, when we can get passed the two rug rats and bribe grandma! Apart from teaching in public school, I also teach a couple of classes at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, in computer education. The fall stress is in full swing and I had to chat with my travel agent yesterday just to give me a quick pick-me-up to know that our time with all of you on the Dream is fast approaching. I am soooo ready for a mixed "anything" and kicked back in the tropical breeze. Friends, thank you for helping to make this another special trip on DCL. We look forward to chatting with you more and meeting you aboard.

I just posted my family info on the google. This is our 4th Disney cruise but our first New Year. We have done the Wonder, Fantasy and this will make our 2nd Dream adventure. We have gifted my in laws and children this trip as part of Christmas. My sister in law went in halves for our husband parents and its thier first time on a Disney Cruise. This will be our first FE...we didnt know about it and always noticed the decorated doors on board so now that i have the 411, we doing it!!! Look forward to meeting ya....and getting my teens to meet other teens too...

there seem to be a lot in this age group---I agree that knowing Guy vs Gal would be helpful for some gift givers...
