Hi all! So I'm really more of a lurker, but I'm in the midst of planning my (very last minute) honeymoon and I need all the help I can get.

I'm allll the way from Singapore (a 26 hours flight is my best case scenario) and I basically grew up with Disney. The Little Mermaid was the first film I ever watched in a cinema and because of that, Ariel is still my favorite princess today.

I'll be getting married in November, and we're planning to have our honeymoon somewhere around late Nov to mid Dec. Initially, the plan was to go to Japan but after some stuff cropped up, we revisited our budget and realized that a trip to WDW could very well just happen. If I can pull this off, of course. My mind is boggled with loads of wedding planning, and to plot and plan a new honeymoon location all of a sudden is a pretty daunting task.

Still, with truckloads of pixie dust, this just might happen. I hope it does. I've already found a suitable flight and we're now considering staying at Seralago. The last time we visited, we stayed at Old Town Celebration Suites and that's also on my list of possible accommodations.

Anyhoo, I realize that I rambled on longer than I had planned to for my introductory post. :P

In a nutshell, :squirrel:, this is all uber exciting, I hope I can pull this off, and I'm looking forward to meeting all of you wonderful people. :-)

Hi there,
I'm new here too. Wow you really are far away. I thought we had a long trip to Disneyworld from Australia but you have a few more hours than us to add to that. But its worth the long trip to get to the magical destination.
We are getting married in December during our trip to Disney (I am excited about getting married in Florida) so our 7 week Christmas trip will also be our honeymoon.
Good luck with everything and I am sure you will make your honeymoon trip happen.

Hi! Thanks for the welcome. (: Wow, that's so exciting!! Was it difficult to plan a destination wedding at Disney? That sounds like a dream come true. I would totally have loved to have our wedding there but unfortunately it's just way too far away for our guests. I'm excited for you, it's going to be so magical!

Getting married in the park is very expensive. So we have chosen to get married in Kissimmee Florida instead which made planning a breeze.
Your right a Disney wedding would be a dream come true, but cannot justify the expense when that could be another holiday for us at Disney, as you know it is a long way to travel for us overseas fans and you need a good budget for each trip. Our wedding will still be magical and it is exciting getting married during our Disney trip, we both love America so it was a no brainer for us to get married over there. Would love to live there someday.:-)

Ah, gotcha. That sounds wonderful, and it's great that it was easy to plan. (: You're right, it is indeed long (and pricey!), thanks to the long distance, but somehow Disney is worth it! Especially for such a special occasion. Congratulations!

It sure is worth it!!;)
Thank you for the congratulations..same to you::yes:: how is that pixie dust going:tink:any luck on booking your honeymoon at Disney?

We're actually well on our way to booking our tickets! I just need to decide on a hotel and we're good to go. c: We'll be staying off-site this time, and I'm deliberating between Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration and The Point Orlando Resort. Urgh. I'm leaning towards The Point because it's on the I-Ride Trolley Route, but the Disney girl in me feels like it's a betrayal to pick a hotel that's closer to Universal Studios.

So excited that this is happening though! :dumbo:

Awesome. Its so good your honeymoon will be in Disney. I am sure both resorts will be wonderful. You are not betraying Disney lol. Accomodation is just somewhere to go at the end of the day to sleep. Do what suits your taste, budget and plans. We are staying at Loews Royal Pacific for 6 nights first as we are going to Universal at the start of our trip. Then we are staying a Pop Century from the 18th Dec until the 25th January for our Disneyworld adventures. That is what suited us best. :thumbsup2
