We took the kids to see The Incredibles ice show today. They agreed on getting the program as a souvenier because they could all share it. Anyway, DH had put between DD's back and her jacket. He said at one point during the second half of the show he looked and didn't see it but figured I had it or one of our other dd's. When the show was over we looked and the book was gone. We looked everywhere. During intermission I had gone to the restroom with one dd and he stayed at the seat with the other two. They stood up to stretch their legs and someone behind us must have lifted it off the seat.

I just hope whoever has it is enjoying it tonight, while we explained on the way home to our girls that some people today are just not honest. :(

:( that is terrible I am so sorry that happened some people are so horrible and so dishonest!!!

That was a really nice lesson for the thief to teach his/her children. A few years ago, DH and I were at GReat Adventure in NJ and had won a couple of stuffed animals. We set them at the exit on a rollercoaster, only to get off and discover that they were gone.

We exited to see a man and woman with their two little girls carrying the three stuffed animals. When DH questioned them, the guy was like, "Oh no, we bought these." Yeah right, I'd have loved for him to come up with a reciept.
We let it go, it wasn't worth arguing about in front of kids...but what a nice lesson for his two girls that day. Sheesh...

we had a similar experience at Busch Gardens, VA and Disney world. In Busch Gardens I sat down on bench to sip a drink and wait for my party. A woman came and sat on the other end of the bench. I paid her no mind I was daydreaming. Anyways when I got up I checked bench and underneath for anything I was leaving behind. About 5-10 min later I realized my camera bag w/camera in it was gone. I am sure she took it because I know I had it when I sat down.

At Country Bear Jamboree in 2000 I had a bag I purchased in GF of a pair of earring and a picture frame I sat on bench between DH & I. Since it is a bench I assume it fell behind me and someone took it. I looked and looked for it and no one turned it in.

Dw laughs at me all the time .I have straps or clips for everything my wallet my phone my park tickets are all cliped or straped to me.

Same with DD clips on her backpacks so it she buys something that doesn't fit in the backpack(small type) it gets clipped to the straps.

There are opertunist people out there and just plain out theives everywhere and you have to be aware of them.Livving in a high crime city has made me always aware of my surroundings ( DW says I am just checking out the BABES).

This is a hot topic for me. Over the summer dh and I took the kids to the Philadelphia Eagles Carnival and I had my dad's digital camera with me. Well after a day of winning little odds and ends for the kids and token souvenirs I placed the camera in with all the other goodies we acquired and carried one bag. Well when dh went to stand in line for an autograph me and the kids had a hot dog in the bleachers. We finished up and the kids were rushing me to go to another event. About 5 minutes or so I notice I HAVE NO BAG and neither does my ds or sds. We run back to the bleachers and it is gone. I went to all the lost and founds and placed an inquiery. I was so sad. There were so many nice pics of the kids on that camera, our trip to Sesame Place, ,2 year old dd's first swim in the pool. I thought no one would have the heart to keep it once they saw what was on the camera. They didnt seem to care. They never gave it to lost and found and I had to pay my dad 300 big ones

Ugh, I am so sorry this happened! People really stink sometimes.

To whoever took our Peter Forseberg bobbleheads (from a sick child and an extremely distraught child no less), there is a little thing called karma.

My DS's Nemo swim ring was stolen on Castaway Cay on our Disney cruise earlier this month. It was only 3 dollars but DS was upset and didn't understand why we could not get it back from the person who took it from us. We went ahead and bought him a new one but it still stinks to think that someone would rather steal his than pay $3 for their own.

I took my son to see a Dora the Explorer Live show a few years ago and they were handing out little sparkly stars on sticks. They were used as part of the interaction with the show. I heard the people behind us say that they didn't get one. At intermission we went to the bathroom and I (foolishly) left the star on the chair. When we came back the star had disappeared. It was not anywhere on the floor either. Now, these were given out free at the door and the people behind me (alledgedly) stole it from my son. Nice. I went back to the lobby and got a new one.

I think it is disgusting that people just take things that don't belong to them. It's almost like they're saying that's your tough luck and that they're taking it for themselves. The last time that we were at Disney, we were at a show and the man in front of me dropped his digital camera and it fell in between the seats. He didn't realize it. I picked it up, tapped him on the shoulder and handed it back to him. He was very grateful. People that just take things should put themselves in the other person's shoes to see how it would feel if something was stolen from them.

Exactly! I found a video camera in the Akl at Disney, and it never occured to me to keep it. I was worried someone would see me carrying it over to the CM and think I took it!!

I just can not stand a Thief or a Liar! When one spits in the air it comes back in their face!

Sadly, people who would stoop low enough to steal something from someone else probably don't have much of a conscience.

On one of our trips to Disney World, quite a few years ago, we had a camera stolen. We had left it, inadvertently, hanging by the strap on the handle of our stroller, while we took a ride on the railroad at the Magic Kingdom. We were about halfway through the ride when I realized the camera was missing. I started to panic but then I remembered it was hooked on our stroller and didn't really worry because, after all, we were in the happiest place on earth, right? I can't believe I was actually that naive to think that things never got stolen at Disney.

Sure enough, when we got back to our stroller, the camera was gone. Still, I figured someone had taken it to lost and found. I STILL couldn't believe anyone that was at the Magic Kingdom would actually steal something! Well, nobody ever turned the camera in. I even checked to see if anyone had at least taken the film out and turned it into lost and found. Of course, I wasn't thinking that anyone who would steal the camera certainly wouldn't worry about the film inside it.

I remember we had taken a lot of pictures that morning of the kids and I was more upset about losing the film then the camera.

When we were staying at ASMU a couple of years ago (during cheerleader from hell week) DD and I stopped at the food court to grab a quick bite before heading back to our room after a long day. She had a hat that had been her brothers that she had tons of pins on that she took off while she ate. Now granted what happened was our fault for not making sure she put it back on but you all know what happened...we got back to the room no hat ran back to the food court just a few minutes after leaving and no hat, tons of teenagers lulling around but no one claims to have seen it, we kept checking lost and found to no avail however. I have since told my kids that the old saying "finders/keepers" is just a way for people to try and make themselves feel better about taking something that isn't yours and if its not yours and you keep it than its STEALING!!!

Sorry to hear that happened! :( Not so nice when people take things that don't belong to them! Can you order the program anywhere?

On a side note, we saw the show on sunday and thought it was a lot of fun!

Jill

P.S. Got any trips coming up? We are going april vacation and in august. Hope all is well at your house! :)

Thanks for all the replies, I feel bad for all of you that got more expensive things stolen. But as you know, it's the principle of the thing...

Hey Jill,
We did enjoy the show too, even though we left on a sour note. During the Pirates of the Caribbean scene, my dd leaned over and said "I want to be at Disney NOW!" I just said "Me too (sniff)"

You lucky dog, going in April!! Unfortunately we are not planning a trip until August 2007! (Yes, you read that right). We'll see if we can actually make it that long. We decided to take a year off, go some other places, then we should really appreciate our next WDW visit! Funny thing is, I'm pretty much okay with it, I'm on these boards sporadically to get my "fix", but it's DH who is already starting to whine about not going!!

Yes, everything is good at my house, same old , same old. How about your family, everyone doing okay? Good to see your post...take care. :)
