Love the pool pictures! OKW looks just beautiful:goodvibes
You are definitely persistent! Can't believe you waited it out at TOT. good job:thumbsup2
We've never been on the Backlot Tour. Something I'll put on the to do list next time.
I will definitely not make fun of you for loving HSM. I have what I call a Mom Crush on Troy Bolton:love: My DD is so embarrassed:rotfl:

Great update! I have the same tiara tank that your sister has! I bought it back in 2006 and I wore it on my Jan trip! When my parents went to WDW in 2007, I asked them to buy me a new one if they saw it, but that didn't happen (mine was getting a bit short, but now I just wear another tank under it).

The pool at OKW looks lovely! I think I need to go check that out sometime! And what a great day at DHS! I personally don't blame you for declining to take a more active role at The Backlot Tour. Last time I was there with my whole family my bro participated, but I prefer to sit back and watch. :)

Since my greatest fear (other than clowns) is to be stuck in a broken elevator, it would take me a lot to get into line at TOT. If it broke down, I'd be the first out of line. I can't believe you all waited for it, but at the same time, good for you.

Ok- I can finally say that I am all caught up! I'll try my best to make it clear on what I'm commenting on. hehe I made afew notes to remember things to comment on hehe.

Day 3- Mon. June 22

I've already commented on these days but I wanted to re-comment on a few things.. hehe

Those are nice pics of you guys on the balcony! I love the carvings in the balcony.

#218 posting- same day.

I have never seen the tree of life at night or anything at AK. I've never been to a EMH's at AK. I will definitely do it though next time. You just can't fit everything into every trip! hehe

I LOVE the pictures of the Giraffe- I can't believe how close he was to you guys.. idk why but I have a soft spot of them.. they are just so beautiful.

I'm glad to see your Festival of Lion King pictures- cause mine never turn out soo good- no matter what I do.

Day 4- Tues. June 23rd- continued

When DH seen the Lego store this time- he went over there right away.. but when we went inside- we were kind of disappointed- we didn't really see anything worth buying either.

I love you're precious moments wendy with tink!

I'm not sure if its Tren-D or a different store in DTD- but one of the stores I went into- had really stylish purses, bags, jewelry, carpri's etc.. and I was really mad I didn't have more money- I wanted everything in the store. But of course it was really expensive. I don't remember the chandeliers though. They might of been there but I just don't remember them.

YAY for beers at Disney! hehe

What no food porn from Wolfgang Puck?!! hehe ;)

Day 4-Tues. June 23 #303 posting

It's always sad to see rainy dark pictures at Disney.. because its not suppose to be like that..
I didn't know that the answering questions and video things was new as SE- is that what they changed. I have never been on it before- we always skipped it before. But that was one of our favorite parts of the ride.. but also the scenery and then stars:upsidedow I want to go on it right now dang it!

I like you're new sweatshirt- I seen that one there and loved it- but I try to stay away from buying lots of white. I'm not a messy person but once its not super white anymore I don't like it. hehe

Day 5-Wed June 24th- #350 post

You guys are lucky you got a sunny swim day.. and a pool to yourself!
I love the sandcastle slide- and the mickey head in the slide. soo cute.

YAY for Mama Melrose! I went there my last trip for the first time and wasn't expecting much except like yummy spaghetti or something- holy crap was I wrong- everything was amazing!! Thanks for sharing your dessert- it looks yummy!

I've never been on Backlot Tour- when we went to go on it- it was down because of rain and we never went back. When they ask you to volunteer- what is it for? I wouldn't mind doing it but I kind of want to know what I'm doing first!

OKW is really great..we wish we had known about it sooner! Haha, we were bound and determined to stay in that line for ToT until they told us for sure that it would be down for awhile. You've never been on the Backlot Tour?! You have to do that! Haha, well I agree with your Mom Crush!

That's so funny you and Sis have the same tank! I haven't seen it there that past few trips though to buy a new one. Darn it!

YEA a new update!!!! keep em coming!

That is my greatest fear too! I'm so claustrophobic and freak out in real elevators!

Geeze girl, you did get caught up! Oh you have to do evening EMH's at AK! It's a must for us now. Haha, sorry about not taking food pics. :flower3: Okay..the Backlot Tour..how can I explain this..you get dressed in rainboots and coveralls with a hood. One person has to go in this boat and sit in the chair and pretend you're calling someone because planes are shooting at you and then this huge gallon of water gets dumped into where your sitting and pretty much on you. The other two people are over on the deck of the boat pretending to be cleaning it, they have to point to the sky and start freaking out when the planes start shooting and they get wet by these huge cannons in the water. Then, the replay everything into a video on the screen.

It looks like you all had a very relaxing morning!! What a vacation should be... Were you getting frustrated that you were waiting so long for ToT? My DH would have been having a cow. :rotfl: I'm sad that we aren't going to eat at MM this trip...it sounds yummy!

Glad you got in some pool time! We must've stayed in the same area in March b/c we were within walking distance to that quiet pool and could see it from our balcony. It was nice b/c after a long day of walking I'd walk over for a night swim! Wish they could add more food/ drink options over there though... Mama Melrose looks really cute! And Tiramisu is my absolute favorite  Can't wait to hear about what happened in line :lmao:

That's cool that you got asked to do the thing at the Backlot Tour, but I don't think I would've done it either. I'm the same way...having tons of people's attention doesn't do it for me. :confused3

Oh yes, and I won't be making fun of you for liking HSM, my sisters and I like it too.

It was a great way to start the day!

I was getting frustrated after waiting awhile..we decided if they come over the speakers one more time about it being broken down, then we'd get out of line because we were cutting it close to our MM ADR, but then the ride started back up! MM is definately yummy!

The quiet pool is so nice, huh?! We loved it. As you'll find out...B/F and I went over there for a night swim another day as well.

MM is so good! You should try it there...glad you like tiramisu too!

Haha, it's a good one!

Day 5: Wednesday, June 24 *continued*

We left off finishing One Man’s Dream…

After that, it was about 6:30 p.m., so we headed over to get in line for the Finale show of the American Idol Experience, which started at 7. We made our way to the holding area, and oh my gosh was it packed! We were all standing around looking at t.v. screens, watching stuff like hilarious moments from auditions of previous American Idol seasons. Then, this guy comes out to get us excited and hyped for the show. There was a camera man following him and taping the crowd, which was displayed on the screens. He had us start chanting “Katie! Katie! Katie!” for the camera guy because Katie was one of the contestants. Then, he found a little boy and had him say “Katie, you’re my American Idol” and blow her a kiss to the camera guy. It was so cute!

Then, Justin from American Idol Season 1 came on and it was like a live show and they were talking to us. It was pretty cool. Soon…the doors opened and everyone followed the herd inside. That part is definitely something I wish they could fix and make a better system. I hate fighting through crowds and making sure our family stays together because people seriously will run you over.

The stage looked just like the real thing! You’ll see a pic of it during another one of our DHS days..The hype man came back out after everyone was seated and started getting us excited again. We had to do crazy moves with him and then he came down to the front row to show us how to “rock the vote” as he said. The camera guy was following him around so we could see him on the big screens as well. He asked this lady to stand up so he could use her chair and then started talking to the old lady next to him to help demonstrate how to vote. He was hilarious. At the end of the demonstration, he asked the old lady to “pound it” and she looked at him then started pounding the voting buttons! HAHA. Everyone started laughing. The hype man just looked at the camera with this hilarious face. He definitely knew how to entertain us while we waited for the show to start.

He went backstage and this Ryan Seacrest host-wanna-be came out to start the show. He also introduced the judges. As you’ll found out from our other DHS days, the hype man, Ryan Seacrest, and judges are not always the same people. The ones we had for the Finale were hilarious.

For the Finale, there were 7 contestants. They were all pretty good, but this one lady sang “Independence Day”, which just got the crowd going because it’s a patriotic song. Before some of the contestants went, different American Idol winners would come on the screen to give them tips. When Katie came out, they had to show us chanting “Katie! Katie! Katie!” and then that little boy who said she was his American Idol. It was so cute. Everyone went “Awwwww!” Can you guess who won? The lady who sang “Independence Day”! Now she has the golden ticket to actually audition in front of Randy, Simon, and Paula…oh yeah and now Kara too. Don’t get me started on that! Haha.

Overall, the American Idol Experience was a ton of fun and definitely for people who are fans of the show. As you’ll see in our other DHS days, I’ve become addicted to it! Ha.

After that, B/F and I headed over to the Animation studio. I had read about and seen pictures of the drawing part from Lynn’s TR and HAD to check it out. It was only a 5 minute wait until the next show so we got in line. After the movie part with Mushu, we walked around and played with the different computer/art stuff. Then, we got in line for the drawing part…We stood there for awhile and this lady comes over to her family and says that a CM said the wait is 60 minutes until the next one because the cut-off was way at the front of the line.

We decided not to stand in line that long for that, so we started walking towards the gift shop. Along the way, there’s displays of how a movie was made. Last year, it was Peter Pan. This year, it was Snow White. It was so interesting and neat to see how the movie began to what it is now.

We met up with Mom, Dad, and Sis in the gift shop to look around. They have some of the most beautiful pictures in there! I wish I had tons of money to buy them! Haha.

As we were walking out, we saw the big wall for Playhouse Disney, which had all the characters that my little guy loves, so we took a picture for him:

Then, we started walking towards “the hat”.

disney091038.jpg

We realized that EMH’s were about to begin, which was 9 p.m. to midnight. So, we hung out around “the hat” to decide what to do next.

241.jpg

This was so cool…It was a light that was spinning around on the ground:

242.jpg

disney091039.jpg

Okay, now brace yourself…

Please don’t ask me why they were doing this:

disney091040.jpg

I told Sis to jump with me and Mom was supposed to catch us in the air…Yeah that didn’t work out so well:

disney091041.jpg

We decided just to get in line for TSM. The wait said 90 minutes, but we didn’t think it looked that long. We started weaving outside.

243.jpg

Then, the lamp from the beginning of all the Pixar films came out and danced to a song:

244.jpg

And then this was when the line got real interesting…

First, this lady was trying to get in line with her family..It’s EMH’s now, so you have to show the CM your room key to prove you’re a Resort guest. They evidently thought that only one person in the group has to have a room key to show them, which is wrong. So the mom and the kids were not being allowed in line because only the Dad had a room key. She started yelling hardcore at the CM, who called over another CM. She was being so mean and cussing and stuff and the CM’s did a great job of keeping their cool and explaining to her the rules. We had to go inside the building before we could see what happened. Evidently, they let her in line because we eventually saw her way behind us in line.

THEN, this lady decides she’s going to breast-feed her baby with her breast just hanging out. Yeah..it was the most awkward line ever to weave past her every time. Haha.

So, we get into the building and there’s no weaving!

My favorite part of the line:

Dad and Sis by the barrel of monkeys:

We made our way to Mr. Potato Head:

disney091043.jpg

He’s hilarious and was singing as we went by.

We finally got on the ride and the wait time was wrong! We only waited 40 minutes! Woo! It went by fast too with all the craziness of the two ladies. Haha.

I was bound and determined to beat B/F at this, but I had no such luck! Dang it! I’m going to win sometime! At either TSM or Buzz. It’s going to happen!

Then, we headed over to the GMR, which was another 40 minute wait, but we were okay with that. As we got to the room where you watch the movies, I began to annoy Sis..I know the words to every movie scene that plays. And when it was the singing and dancing ones, I’d do it too. Haha. We eventually got on, and our driver was from British Columbia! She had the cutest accent ever.

Then, we headed to ToT:

disney091042.jpg

The wait said 40 minutes, but it was really 25! I was praying again that it wouldn’t break down while we were on it. We were also entertained by a guy who videotaped the whole ride with his camera! We were hoping he had a good grip on it!

By the time we got off, it was 12:15 a.m., so we headed to our bus and made our way back to OKW. This was such a fun and relaxing day. We did whatever, whenever and didn’t have an exact plan that we had to follow.

~Up next: We’re jinxed again!

First of all, I can not believe that woman was breast feeding in line!!!:scared: I don't know why some women feel that since they're feeding a baby, it's no longer indecent exposure :confused3 Anyway... I wish your mom could have capured the jumping picture--those are always so much fun!! It sounds like an AWESOME day!!! :thumbsup2 How fun to be able to just go and do whatever you want!

Fun update! I've never seen the TSM line because we always fastpass it. One of these times. In fact one of these times we are actually going to try a PM EMH. I think I may have to wait a few years until my kids are older though. Then I'll never be able to get them out of bed for rope drop:laughing:

loved the update!

Lady in line sounds like she needed a sprinkle of pixie dust swearing like that! Some people need to relax - you are on holiday after all!

Glad you put the nighttime pic of Tower of Terror pic on as Emma thought that the bulb had gone out in the other "O" when we saw it. Steve tried to tell her it is supposed to be like that but she wasn't having any of it!

What a great night at DHS!!! Well besides the awkward moment with the mom!!! You guys looked like you were having a blast together!

I hadn't really thought i would be interested in the American Idol experience but after reading your review I just might have to cave and see it LOL!!!

OOOH I love this update!!!!

Glad you liked American Idol Experience. I hope you eventually got to draw, that's crazy it was an hour wait.

Oh gosh, sorry you had to witness a crazy lady in Disney. I can't believe she cussed the poor CMs out.

Glad TSM was only a 40 min wait. YAY for getting on TOT!!!

Can't wait for the next update.

Oh and cute pics!!!

We were right around the hat at about 9pm that night. We saw the cool lights on the ground. We didn't see the lamp come out and dance that night, but we saw him another time. He's so cute! Looking back, I wish we would have hoped into that line. 40 minutes is not bad at all for that ride!

Wow, I can't believe that lady in line!!! Such interesting people we encounter in WDW. :lmao:

I loved American Idol! We went to the show before you at 6:00 where Katie won I believe..was Katie just married? If she was then she was the one that one at the 6:00 show.

I cannot believe the wait time for TSM was only 40 minutes...we saw the 90 minute wait and decided it wasn't worth it...if we only knew! Ah! Seems like we were right behind you guys most of the day.
